Hello all,

After a fairly short search my perfect Zed turned up on the forum for sale on Sunday 4th May. I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. I think Ruth (jaRED) & I have set some unofficial forum record for 6 hours between OP and driving away viewtopic.php?f=41&t=77004

Red is going to be my daily driver, but as I work from home this will just involve a 10mile round trip to the gym and back at lunchtimes, plus the odd weekend hoon.

As a family, we've pretty much fallen in love with Red already. Personally, I don't think I've come down to earth properly yet. My wife, Jan, is already considering her first Zed. I can see this is going to be more expensive than I thought... LOL.

I must thank Ruth and Tony for their hospitality on Sunday -- we really enjoyed our afternoon there -- and for looking after Red so well.

On that, does anyone have a top tip on how to get between the twin pipes? I can't seem to clean that bit properly

A rag with autosol and pulling that up and down, back to front and repeat until done ...

Will look into the Turnpike meet - I've been passed that place many times on my travels to Manchester. We're out on the east coast so it's a bit of a trek, especially that early on a Sunday, with sprog-sitting complications too.
