Message from @JustBobski off Facebook for IMR R1:

Welcome to 2018.

Back end of 2017 has been a sickly one for me after having spent most of it dealing with pneumonia which has been no fun.

The worst is behind me and I look ahead to 2018!

Due to being so I'll I wasn't able to make any offers or gestures this christmas , so now it's time.

I know many of you had expressed interest in the R1 but finances made it a little out of reach, so I ask any of you that is in that position to get in touch and I will see what I can do for you.

This will be open to just 10 people so get in touch sooner rather than later to info@imracoustics.com

Ive been good and proud of myself for the last coyple months. No purchases during the holiday. it was hard, believe me...

Might be falling off the wagon if they choose me for one of the sets...

This is such a great support group

Hi I'm Tom and I have relapsed

What IEMs are those?

Hi Tom, you're safe and among friends. The path toward recovery from addiction is often not a straight line but curly like classic headphone cables. The first step is admitting you have a problem, the second is to stop buying more crap, lol.
I've got the first step down. Problem admission? Nailed it. Stop buying stuff? Uhhh......no :D. Guess I'll just keep standing here in this spot after that first step :p

I don't know how big that spot is, but a ton of us are standing on it, lol.

Those iems are Rhythmos Super SD7 (white) and the Tiandirenhe TD08 (black)
I especially like how that Rhythmos looks. How does it sound? It's not terribly expensive, though a little more than what the average person would pay. Still, for what looks like an ergonomic shell and 5-driver hybrid setup, $160-170 ain't too steep of a price.

I'm really enjoying them kin of V shaped at first but they are settling down so more U shaped with burn in . The treble is great and powerful bass depending on the tips used and they are comfortable

For those who are interested, just posted a review of the Empire Ears Athena on the other blog I write on:

https://wordpress.com/post/audioprimate.blog/7159

I know there are a few EE fans who hang around on here like @JaeYoon (not seen you in the treads for a while!), so just thought this might help if anyone feels super-burdened down with all that money in their pockets at the moment (think EE actually have these on sale as part of their clearout, but not brave enough to check in case I end up getting carried away with adding more gear to my groaning audio cupboards)

Hey Jackpot! Thanks for making that review. I've been using Athena daily!

I've been gone due to vacation and out of country. I'm back now and back to work unfortunately. LOL

Also I might not go visit Mexico anytime soon. I've seen scary as stuff like cars full of bulletholes at a market and people just walk around as if nothing happened.
My guide told me not to phone ambulance or police, because they work for local gangs, and we just have to ignore everything we see or get in trouble.

Edit: I should also mention museums and food and music here is great though! There are some great people here. Lots of history to explore too!

Just uh.... I happened to be spooked really easy so :c

Lol that's hilarious I'm from Mexico but I'm on vacation in U.S right now, I'm curious what place you visited during your stance in Mexico, but don't worry, gangsters only fights with themselves and this only happens in few places on all Mexico.

After the New Year's countdown in the neighborhood that I stay during my stace in U.S rained bullets all around the neighborhood for almost 1 hour from people celebrating the new year, I know this don't happen everywhere and that's my point, don't be scared and visit Mexico again soon, I can be your guide only let me try Andromeda or Athena :)

+1 EE in terms of their quality and sound of their products, don't own the Athena as it seems to be the wrong sound signature for me. But the Hermes have been awesome!

Thanks alot @Jackpot77 again for recommending me the IFI iEMatch, works like a charm and they sound oh so good paired with my Valhalla 2.

My friend wanted to go get something late at night. It was a small town near the border.

It was around 9:30ish. But I didn't get any further incidents besides seeing that car. I left and stayed in Mexico City asap and it's better to be out when lots of people are around. But for most part Mexico is pretty nice. I might come back someday!

Enjoy your stay in U.S. I'm pretty sure US has bad areas to stay out of too!
