Please join the Global Engagement Center for a special session on how to adapt to, survive and thrive in Minnesota during the tough winter season! In this workshop, Dr. Shih-Hsun Lin will discuss ideas about how to best cope with this challenging season, and what you can do to stay well and make the most of the local climate. This session is designed to serve international students new to Minnesota, but anyone is welcome to join who is interested in the topic!

- Coffee and cookies to be provided. This is a “brown bag lunch” event, so feel free to bring your food for lunch and eat while participating.

Sign-up is not required, so please feel free to come the day of the event. However, if you plan on attending it would be great if you could let us know tentatively at this link (will insert) so we can generally estimate numbers.

About the presenter:
Shih-Hsun Lin has been a counselor at Hamline Counseling & Health Services since 2007. He received his doctoral degree in Counseling and Student Personnel Psychology at the University of Minnesota and has worked at counseling centers at various universities since 2002. He also has a master’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences. As a native of Taiwan, he is particularly interested in working with international students to help them to success and thrive in their academic pursuits. In the cold Minnesota winter, Shih-Hsun like to cook warm hot soups and snuggle up with his two young spirited senior cats.
