Please note Forever After is a sequel to Affairytale and is not a stand-alone.
I remember reading Affairytale and being in awe of this amazing woman who shared her life with the world. All the good, the bad and the ugly. She didn’t sugar coat it or make excuses. She owned it and she absolutely made me a huge fan with her honesty and bravery.
When I heard she was writing a sequel I was very interest to see what happened in the lives of C.J and Grant after Affairytale ended.
Well she has done it again and Forever After was a fantastic and engaging read. There are open and honest conversation between C.J. and Grant as well as with her daughter Dani and her brother Dylan. There are deleted scenes and a little of what C.J. and her family are up to now in 2018.
Just like in Affairytale, the brutal honesty and passion are there. Not only passion in the sense of love for one another but the passion with which C.J. lives her life and supports the causes closest to her. Her passion about the dog rescue she works with and promoting heathy eating is very evident and I especially loved her story about her own dog Kona.
There were some really funny laugh out loud moments and some really heartfelt and brutal moments too that are delivered in true C.J. style which I absolutely love. The cherry on top are some gorgeous family photos. ❤️
I can’t praise this woman enough and she is a true inspiration.

When I read Affairytale three years ago I was conflicted with all of the heartache and pain that was associated with the writer's true love story, and I came away from it not truly knowing what to think about it, on one hand, I liked it, on the other I wanted to throw my kindle. Conflicted. But you know the funny thing is is that I never forgot about it over the course of the past three years. I knew that CJ had ridden off into the sunset with her man never to be heard from again. Also, I didn't like that Grant was such a mystery man.
But alas,
In Forever After it was as though for me there was closure and much insight to what had happened all those years ago. I loved hearing Grants voice, his thoughts and opinions of when he knew CJ was the one for him and visa versa. I loved all the little tidbits of the BTS of their lives and their secrets for being so happy in love. It was sexy, sweet and heartfelt. It made me laugh and cry (literally) and I loved all the pics at the end, especially of Grant mystery man, giving a face to a voice that I have really wanted to know all about for a long time.

I loved this book! It was a perfect follow up to Affairytale. If you haven't read Affairytale yet.....get on it; then come back and read this!
What I loved about this book is that it wasn't written like a typical story. It is a mixture of conversations with Grant and deleted scenes or memories. She also includes conversations with her brother and her daughter.
She is honest and real. She shares her thoughts and insecurities. She shares her passions; rescuing animals and eating healthy. She is an open book!

Great book. I love this author! Why all the bad reviews??? Instead of leaving 1 star and no review, leave a reason you don’t like it so the people that are more selective can judge for themselves if they will like it or not. This is a great book, not as good as the first, but still great! I look forward to reading more by this author. She is real.

I remember reading just an excerpt of Affairytale and, it was like I had to get the book!
CJ never disappoints.
Forever After is amazingly unique like Affairytale. I will always applaud CJ's originality and honesty in her books and personal life.
