Amid ongoing data controversy, Facebook has announced plans to protect users' personal data. An app would now require Facebook's approval to request information other than name, profile photo, and email. If an app hasn't been used for three months, its access would be revoked. Further, Facebook will display used apps on News Feed and allow revoking permissions from there itself.
