Notes for the Day
- Volunteers will all be provided an RTP t-shirt. When making your selection during registration, please note that sizes are unisex.
- These projects are often messy, so please dress appropriately in closed toe shoes and long pants that you don't mind getting permanently dirty! Personal protective equipment and first aid kits will be on site.
- Coffee and pastries will be served upon arrival
- Cold bottled water and snacks will be available for grazing throughout the day
- Lunch will be served midday
Volunteer Work Scope
Priority Repairs:
- Level kitchen floor then lay vinyl plank flooring.
- Trim with quarter round and 3inch boards.
- Remove, repair, and replace two kitchen cabinet doors.
- Replace approximately 40 ceiling tiles in the kitchen.
- Patch and paint the bathroom.
- Remove bathroom hutch.
- Assemble and secure homeowner’s newly purchased hutch.
Secondary Priority (repairs that will be made if first priority repairs are completed):
- Remove carpet from the dining floor.
- Level, and lay vinyl plank flooring.
- Trim with quarter-round and carpet transition strips.
- Patch and paint the dining room.
- Remove and replace rotted wood on the front porch steps
- Fill holes with a flexible exterior sealant, then paint.
- Scrape and paint back PT back porch with a semi-transparent stain.
