Dear Kansas Association for the Gifted, Talented and Creative Members,
We’re looking for quality applicants to fill three key board positions as well as a variety of other positions for the ensuing term and would appreciate your assistance. To further our aim of seeking new faces on the board we’d like to encourage all members who’d like to serve to apply. From the header you should have gathered, the key positions to be filled are President-Elect, Secretary and Treasurer. The nominees should be active members and have some familiarity with KGTC.
The application that follows must be completely filled out including a list of personal qualification/strengths. The application must be completed by June 12, 2015. All applications will be vetted by the nomination committee. We will forward only one name per position, so not all applications will make it onto the final list.
The nomination committee may ask if a candidate would be willing to serve in another capacity than the position applied for, so please have a clear understanding of our constitution and policies found on our website

If you choose to nominate someone other than yourself, please list their qualification strengths for one of the three positions, contact them to see if they’re currently a member and if they’d be interested in serving.
In late June the nominating committee will contact the applicants to ensure their commitment, to make them aware of the terms and requirements of each of the positions they’re interested in. In July the committee will meet to narrow the list of nominees for the Executive Board down to the three possible nominees they’ll present for board approval.
The final list of Executive Board nominees will be introduced to the general membership after our August 15 board meeting by being posted to our website and sent out on our membership list. At our October convention photos and bios will be posted next to the registration desk of those who are nominated from the floor.
We know our membership contains some very amazingly accomplished individuals uniquely qualified to fill the positions we’re seeking.
