I am Dutch-born, from a Frisian dairy farmers family with a history that dates back to the Middle Ages. Although my father was a tech-savvy engineer, I spend a great deal of my youth on a farm. I there learned how important it is that we use our natural resources in a sustainable way because we ourselves are the end-users. The result was that I became a tech-savvy agricultural engineer with a passion to improve everyday life. With over 15 years of experience in developing new innovative concepts and growth strategies, I have met interesting people from all over the world. My love for pushing boundaries and stretching the possibilities of a team allows me to steer these concepts into new frontiers.

    Yim is a ground-breaking 3D measurement system made by Dutch Sigma, Almelo in the Netherlands. It allows large work pieces of 2 metres and more to be measured.
    To three-dimensional tolerances of less than 10 microns in all planes are possible. Even if the workpiece is as much as 10 metres in size! This has been made possible by the way the inventors employed elementary physical principles. The accuracy, reliability and the previously unfeasibly low price for this kind of measurement system…
