Bob Dylan Photo Gallery

Inside Out West tracks down previously unseen photographs taken of legendary singer songwriter Bob Dylan.

Visit our exclusive web gallery of Bob Dylan pictures taken by Barry Feinstein, the official photographer on Dylan's 1966 UK tour.

Barry has been rooting around in his attic in New York and he's found photographs that haven't been seen for four decades.

Now they could form part of the proposed Severn Ferry Museum.

Ferry 'cross the Severn...

The image shows Bob Dylan waiting for a ferry across the River Severn. In the background you can see the first Severn bridge, which was nearing completion.

It was taken in 1966, the year that Bob Dylan was performing what became known as the 'Judas' tour.

Many fans were angry that he abandoned his traditional acoustic set to go electric in the second half.

The first English date of the tour was at Bristol's Colston Hall.

The following day, as he set off for his next gig in Cardiff, the boos were still ringing in his ears.

So, with the heckling from the night before and all the rain, it's hardly surprising he looked a bit moody as he waited for the ferry.

Otters under threat - concern for this popular mammal

Inside Out West goes on the trail of a mysterious bug which is threatening the West’s otter population.

The parasite - pseudamphistomum truncatum - was probably introduced when ornamental fish were imported from Russia and Eastern Europe.

Experts believe some of them may have escaped into our water system.

The parasite is passed on when otters eat the infected fish.

Scientists have discovered the parasite, which causes liver damage and jaundice, in the gall bladders of the river mammals.

They fear it could threaten the resurgent otter population.

The number of otters in the Somerset Levels is thought to be more than 60 now, a huge increase from the 1960s and 1970s when the UK’s river systems were polluted with chemicals from farming and industry.
