One film his firstborn certainly won’t be allowed to see for quite some time is his upcoming antihero flick, Deadpool, which is slated for release in February 2016.

Directed by Tim Miller, the film is set to be the most adult-themed comic book adaption yet, with plenty of the Deadpool franchise's trademark violence and smutty humour already being showcased in the film's first trailer.

Ryan gave fans a first look at the cheeky official poster for the film which sees the Marvel Comic characters squeezing his behind with words: ‘Bad ass. Smart ass. Great ass.’

The story of Deadpool follows a former Special Forces operative turned mercenary named Wade Wilson who after being diagnosed with cancer undergoes a rogue experiment which leaves him with accelerated healing ability leading him to adopt the alter ego of Deadpool.

The experiment also left him horrible disfigured with a face, as one character puts it that 'that looks like an avocado had sex with an older avocado'.

The antihero, who will be the first pansexual superhero portrayed on the big screen, is also slightly mentally unstable and does not have a filter when it comes to his often inappropriate thoughts.

Deadpool has been on the backburner for nearly eleven years. but after some test footage leaked, the surge of fan support saw the film made.

This is not the first time Ryan has been Deadpool after playing the character in X-Men Originals: Wolverine, but this time the actor is preparing to bring out the anti-hero out in all his NTSFW glory.

Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand co-star in the movie, which will be released on February 12, 2016.
