What is Covered & What is not Covered in a Home Warranty Contract
Systems that are usually covered in a home warranty:
- Plumbing System
- Electrical System
- Heating System
- Cooling System
- Coverage on these systems include HVAC units, ductwork, circuit boxes, pipes and more.
Appliances that are usually covered: (Some are supplemental to your basic plans)
- Dishwashers
- Garbage disposal
- Oven/ range/ cooktops
- Built-in microwaves
- Refrigerators

These are all appliances/systems that Landmark covers, however, to know exactly what plan you have paid for and what is included in that plan, you need to look at your contract. You will also see in your Landmark home warranty contract that these systems and appliances must be maintained properly in order for the home warranty to repair or replace them when they fail.
Reading Your Home Warranty Contract Sets Expectations
The first section “Service Overview” in your Landmark Home Warranty contract the most important. It goes through the generic parts of what is covered and what is not covered in your contract. Reading through this will save you a lot of time. Landmark’s home warranties are not all-inclusive, which means there are limits to what Landmark covers in your home. The plans later on in the contract will go into what the limits we have for each situation and if you are still confused you can contact us. Section D in your Landmark Home Warranty contract goes into what the contract generally does not cover.
If you find that the coverage that you purchased is not what you would like and you want to upgrade your coverage you can do so within 14 days of purchase.
