Giving an old book sneaky new content is frighteningly easy. Print our mice templates and cut as directed. Open your book to the middle, then lightly trace the mice shapes onto opposite pages; take care to mark, as indicated on the templates, where not to cut along the bottoms. With a cutting mat underneath one page, use a craft knife to cut out one silhouette, then erase any leftover pencil marks. Carefully lift up the shape, creasing at the bottom so that the mouse stands. Repeat for the other mouse.

Reflective paint is this spectral mirror's secret. You can use any frame with glass; we chose one from Ikea ($24.99; 23¼"W x 33½"H; ikea.com for stores). Start by printing our two ghostly images—the original, shown here, and its inverse, or mirror image—onto 11"W x 17"L paper. (Resize images if you're using a different frame.) Discard the inverse image, then fit the glass into the frame, painted side to the back. Place the original image and backing into the frame.

Cut out the horns, and place them, facedown, atop a freshly ironed pillowcase—positioned four inches below the top seam and centered horizontally, as shown (pillowcases, $27.99 for standard pair, target.com). Iron on the horns, following the package instructions, and peel away the backing.

This craft pairs materials from your own yard with an 11¼"W x 14"H black Funkin ($36; funkins.com). To get started, print our carving templates; cut, as indicated, to create stencils for the tree-framed opening and moon at the back.
