FOTD- Lady Gaga Born This Way Cover Makeup

What do you do while being slayed by the new Gaga? Well I do this :) It's just so ugly I couldn't take it anymore, I had to eff up my face with it.

For the "bones" I used Ben Nye's Nose & Scar wax instead of making latex appliances. Her prosthetic's are more toned down on the cover & editorials. Just meld little spikes out of the wax and apply to face. Blend & seal the edges with liquid latex, and finish with foundation & contouring. Eyebrows were covered using the glue stick method then Airbrushed with Dinair Matte White Foundation and Dinair Alabaster Foundation. I wanted to do this look to work on my eyebrow coverage technique... Still think I could use a few more lessons from my Queens :)

FOTD - Leather & Lace, Studs & Spikes.

Photobucket
Tonight's night on the town look comes from my unhealthy obsession with Jeffrey Campbell shoes, a British darling's music video, and to match the new gloves I made. This is NOT a look for the impatient! Putting those little studs on individually took 30 minutes alone. But when I get an idea in my head I just have to go with it :)
The Inspiration:
Jeffrey Campbell "Tic" Boots

Meets Cheryl Cole..I  have no idea who she is, but I saw her video and thought I haaaaave to do a look like this. The effect looks better in person than it photographs!

FOTD - Lets Get Glam

I did this look for an event awhile back, but thought it'd be perfect for New Years Eve as well. I went matchy matchy and paired silver sequins over subtle muted silver & brown shadow's so that it didn't look too over the top. Give this girl sequins and glitter and it can turn vegas show girl meets drag queen real quick!

How to: Apply desired eyeshadow look. Apply duo lash adhesive to back of sequins & apply to cover lid (generally 2-3 rows), stopping before the crease (it could be uncomfortable).
On a similar look note, I am so in love with the Shu Uemura Tokyo Lash Bar 2010 neo reflector Lashes! Now if only they'd come back in stock.. oh and not be $65!

FOTD- Seattle/Bowie/Vintage M.M.M

I'm DJ'ing my friend's party tonight, so I thought I'd do something a lil edgey, punk rock, 80's-ish! Inspired by Nirvana, Bowie, & some of my old yellow/black looks. It's kind of fun to do a look nearly the exact same as you did years ago :)

Halloween FOTD - Blind Mag

Tonight I'm going as Blind Mag from Repo! The Genetic Opera. This look works for an array of costumes... Lady Marmalade,Gothic/Vampire, Dead Bride, Dark Fairy, Fallen Angel etc., It's all about EXTREME Lashes, layer them on feathery & thick! I made mine with 5 PAIRS! I had so much fun doing this because 1. I love ridiculous lashes and 2. It's such a dramatic departure from how I normally look, I almost feel like a totally different person! Now, I'm off to finish feathering my costume and do makeup for my darling Amber Sweet. Happy almost Halloween!

Halloween FOTD - Terminatrix

Photobucket
One of my Dad's favorite movies is theTerminator and he's always quoting lines from it, so I got the idea to do a terminator/cyborg look for my gig tonight. Light on the gore with the monroemisfitmakeup glamour twist. I wanted it to look as if my face had been ripped away revealing my true form. I rarely do SPX gore makeup, obviously!, that and "face paint" just aren't my genre. So if I can give it a go, anyone can.
