- IF YOU DON'T WANT THE INDICATOR LIGHTS TO BE ALWAYS ON, TWEAK THE FOLLOWING VALUES TO THIS. IF YOU ARE USING POLICE CAR MODS, YOU PROBABLY SHOULDN'T TOUCH THIS.
car.indicator.day.emissive.on 500.00
car.indicator.night.emissive.on 500.00
car.indicator.day.emissive.off 0.000

- There is a fix for all Orange lights on Staniers, just install that "Amber lights and Clear Lightbar" mod.You need to replace the files inside the .ytd files. The tutorial from FirstThirtyMinutes is very helpfull. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYWbyPj7Fso (You can find the mod in the description as well) And you maybe need to replace it in multiple files (i needed to do it in Patchday3ng,Patchday5ng and x64e) It works for the sheriff, the undercover car and the normal one.

- SPECIAL THANKS TO LauraXo FOR MAKING THIS REPORT :
I've included a link with a report comparing the two files. One contained a clean (but out of date) visualsettings.dat file while the other was the modified file.

The file is very simple to read.
In between the = signs contains the line number, followed by the original value, you can then compare it to the value directly under it which will be the modified value.

I don't like it, since I have to overwrite my visualsettings, which are already modded by a graphic mod.

Having a problem where the police lights turned a faded red/orangeish colour and is almost unplayable at night due to the world darkening only when the police lights are on. Wasn't like this when I first installed the mod so I'm unsure as to how to fix it

I looked into it a bit more and it also only happens on the Stanier Police Cruiser but the world still gets darker when the lightbar is on no matter what car is used

After installing this, the parking lights on all vehicles are on at night even when not occupied. Any way to revert just that?

Having this problem + on some of the  police cars with LED lights are orange instead of red.

It looks better but nothing like the screenshots on my end, any other mods you have installed?

You can increase the brightness values to achieve the photogenic flares. You can find the following lines in visualsettings.dat :

    car.defaultlight.day.emissive.on

    car.defaultlight.night.emissive.on

tweak the values to your desired taste.

Are you working on making some of the lights not yellowish?

So by default what i got here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nJNAQ8ZcZk is normal? what would i need to change it to, to achieve the look you have?

It appears that you're not using my corona mod, lol.

Well I installed it just like the instructions stated, however your mod cause the game to update reverting some of the changes your mod makes when launched after applying

I agree with Jeff. If you fixed that this would be perfect

Awesome Dylan! Glad you got it working. I will stick to the older version of this for now. Starburst effects are the byproduct of a camera lens (yes the flares are too) but I like the lights to look more on the side of what the human eye would see. Just my preference!

Could you send me the older version? I don't have it because I deleted it after I saw an update was out

If you can provide me a good picture of what a natural flare would look like ( i know how they look in real life, but i want to make sure i understand your side of view,) and i'll see what i can do. You got it right though, i based this current flare on the camera lens flare. But if it helps, decrease the values under defaultlighting in visualsettings and see if it helps. Decrease it to 50, perhaps.

Corona before the update looked way better, this has too much of a starburst flare. My 0.02

    Here's the older version.
