No light pollution whatsoever!

I wanted to capture the Milky Way over West Thumb Lake but it was already pitch-dark. I didn’t know how long it would take to scout a spot in the dark, so I decided to stay there. But also, the other factor was the frigid temperature. I was quite surprised by how cold it was at night in early July! I definitely was not ready for it! However, the night at West Thumb offered a clear, beautiful night sky, contrary to how gloomy it was throughout the day earlier. No light pollution whatsoever! While thinking to myself that the showers earlier didn’t promise me this, I framed our galaxy over the forest and started pressing my remote button away...
