Freedom2Choose Drama workshop 29th of April

Performing arts is often about collaboration and negotiation, and when used in mixed-ability groups it can act as a bridge between group members. This drama workshop will provide an ideal environment to encourage students to work together and to develop trust and friendships.

By working together and using role-play, storytelling and shared narratives the young people increase their levels of self-confidence and self-esteem. Positive outcomes are achieved across the spectrum of disabilities. Research concludes that young people with disabilities working together in a group, following a well-defined, systemic framework, achieve levels of self-confidence and self-esteem that would be impossible in isolation.

This workshop will take place on 29th of April, 2-4 pm at Charter Youth Club, Belfast.

Freedom2Choose is in partnership with EA and South Belfast Area Project.
