WATCH: Kobe Bryant has zero doubt the Lakers will retire Pau Gasol's jersey

Not to long ago, Lakers great Kobe Bryant hinted at his thoughts on whether or not the Lakers should retire Pau Gasol's No. 16 L.A. jersey.

Now he has come out and flat out said he has zero doubt the San Antonio Spurs center's purple and gold jersey should be hanging in Staples Center next to his.

"There's no debate Pau, when he retires, he will have his number in the rafters next to mine. The reality is that I don't won those championships without Pau."

Gasol won a couple of titles (2009, 2010) with Bryant in the post-Shaquille O'Neal era. And considering what he did for their franchise during his seven season with them, it's not out of the realm of possibility once Pau hangs up his sneakers, they will also hang up his jersey.
