Energetický a průmyslový holding begins to exercise its shareholder rights in Slovenský plynárenský priemysel, a.s.

1-2-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — Following the final closing of the transaction whereby E.ON and GDF SUEZ had sold their respective equity interests inSlovenský plynárenský priemysel, a.s. (SPP) to Energetický a průmyslový holding (EPH), EPH began to exercise its shareholder rights.

As of 24 January 2013, the new Chairman of SPP’s Board of Directors is Daniel Křetínský, who has replaced Hans-Gilbert Meyer in this position. The new Board of Directors is complete with Jan Špringl, Pavel Horský and Ladislav Bartoníček, who have replaced the members of the old Board of Directors, i.e., Jean-Jacques Ciazynski, Frédérique Dufresnoy and Andreas Rau.

As of 24 January 2013, SPP’s Supervisory Board has also been changed. Peter Korbačka, who has replaced Eric Stab, has become its new member.

The Eustream Board of Directors also has two new members. The general meeting decided to appoint Tomáš Mareček, who replaces Jean-Luc Rupp as the Chairman, and Vladimír Mlynář, who joins instead of Gunnar Löwensen, as members of the Board of Directors. On the basis of a decision passed by the sole shareholder of Eustream, which is SPP, there has also been one change in the Supervisory Board. Thierry Kalfon leaves to be replaced by Daniel Křetínský.

František Čupr, replacing Sebastian Jochem in this position, is the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of SPP – distribúcia, a.s. Petr Hájek, replacing Jean-Pierre Béringuier, is another new member of this highest governing body as of today.

Changes in the Supervisory Board of SPP – distribúcia, a.s. are also effective as of 24 January. Its new member Robert Ševelareplaces Ekkehard Ludwig.

Through Slovak Gas Holding, EPH controls 49% and holds management control in SPP. The value of the transaction was EUR 2.6 billion, and it is therefore the biggest ever foreign investment made by a Czech entity.
