BerkoSchool is an alternative home school. It was created a few years ago by a group of active parents who wanted to try to teach their children in a way that would make the process of exploring the world around fun rather than boring. The name comes from the name of the Berkovtsy district in Kiev (where the school is located) and the word School. Many subjects are taught by parents themselves. Some of the founders are my good friends who asked me to come up with a sign for the school that would portray such an informal, creative approach.
It was necessary that a logo would convey an atmosphere of mutual assistance, understanding and warmth.
БеркоШко—це альтернативна школа домашнього типц. Її створили декілька років тому група активних батьків, які хотіли спробувати навчати своїх дітей так, щоб процес пізнання світу і навколишнього середовища був в радість. Назва походить від назви району Берківці у Києві (де і знаходиться школа) і, власне, слова Школа. Багато предметів викладають самі батьки. Одні з засновників цієї ініціативи—мої друзі, які попросили допомогти з лого, який би говорив про неформальний, творчий підхід. Треба було створити знак, який передає атмосферу взаємодопомоги, тепла та розуміння.
