From President Kirsty Stark:

REMINDER: Our next 2 regular Tuesday morning meetings have been replaced by Marie’s Farewell and the club Changeover Brunch.

It was great to see Shirley Roberts back at this week’s meeting. Shirley and Kevin are both doing well and will be attending our Changeover Brunch in a couple of weeks, so we will look forward to seeing them again then.

Our guest speaker was Kerrie Smith, the current President of the University of the Third Age (U3A) in Campbelltown. The U3A began in Europe, and is an opportunity for those over 50 who are working under 20 hours per week to attend classes, groups and outings to get to know others in the local community and learn new skills.

Under Kerrie’s leadership, the Campbelltown U3A is thriving, with a wide range of courses and groups including yoga, languages, art, music, and even a book group for Kerrie’s personal passion, Crime Fiction.

The cost for an annual membership is $50, which includes all the regular classes at the Campbelltown U3A centre, and the only additional cost is for expenses relating to crafts or external activities.

For more information, or to see the courses, visit https://sites.google.com/site/campbelltownu3asa/
