Workes Perfectly for Wireless Audio Headsets

The one and only complaint is the inability to control the volume with the speaker in the windows tray. I would dock a 1/2 star, if amazon allowed, but not a whole for this. The volume control on my Jabra earpiece controls this so not really a big deal. The audio quality is far better than the USB Bluetooth dongle that came with my Jabra earpiece. Sound is consistent with no interruptions and the quality is a noticeable upgrade when using this over the Kinivo BTD-300 Bluetooth 3.0 USB adapter I used prior to my Jabra. This device was easy to use with Windows 8, I just plugged it in, pressed the blue button on the Creative dongle then on my wireless earpiece and that was it.

I wanted to integrate my audio with bluetooth and got this last year. Even now Dec.2014 there are not may APT-X Bluetooth transmitters. I use it to transmit to either an Arcam-RBlink plugged into the house hi-fi system, or to Sony Bluetooth headphones. I have more and more of my CD collection on my laptop, ripped to FLAC, using MediaMonkey. The Arcam-RBlink/house hi-fi, is also useful for pairing with cell-phone media players, a big hit with the wife's daughter. The other combo is to pair my cell phone (Android with Rocket Player) with my bluetooth headphones.Rebinding the various pairs is a bit tedious but always works. The Creative Transmitter gives a very good sound playing FLAC's to Hi-Fi. It has not fallen to pieces or failed yet. I can control volume either in Media Monkey, or by remote on the hi-fi system (Rotel circa 2001,JM-Labs speakers), or on my headphone volume control, so the lack of volume control on the dongle is an irrelevance. Not sure if other bluetooth component would have allowed this integration cheaper with comparative quality at the time or if there are newer components on the market now. I This Creative Transmitter may be worth seeking out if you want to do a system like this.

This USB Transmitter is the simplest of devices to hook-up! It simply connects to the appropriate port on the PC and with just a press in; the very tiny button on the top side, and you're almost connected to your bluetooth device. At least for the connection purpose for which I purchased this Bluetooth USB Transmitter. I decided on this one in particular, because as a matter of fact I had decided to purchase a Creative Bluetooth wireless pc speaker, to begin with. I was skeptical about this transmitter over a similar one also sold by Amazon, my indecision was due to a bad review on this transmitter not being able to control the volume selector from the desktop itself, but having "to get up from my seat", because it was only possible to control the volume from the speakers settings, while in use with the kin to the same brand; Creative Bluetooth speakers that I now have. I am really satisfied and glad that I didn't let that review stop me from what I realized was an easy decision. Obviously the "Creative" co., manufactured this device in particular to communicate, especially for audio, in the most "perfect" way with their counter part; wireless-bluetooth speakers. The audio is exceptional quality, that I otherwise doubt as much with the other bluetooth transmitter, that I almost bought. Which has a great deal to do with the quality of the speakers, but that is for another review. Yes Indeed, I Highly recommend this device, again, very clear and sharp audio connection, for wireless connection. On the question of how much operating distance it permits to operate, or wether you can transmit thru a major partition wall. from an adjacent room? I would say that it performs basiclly the same as others sold on the market today. Usually 30 or so ft., and not so well, if any, from another side of a wall.

I was going to return it because I couldn't get it to work...needs to pair with my bluetooth speaker. First, it didn't seem to
be able to install on my computers. Then I tried on my laptop and finally got success....so I am not going to return it.
The problem is the pairing...I couldn't figure out what wasn't working....the transmitter or the speaker....or the computer.
I kept reading the instuctions and trying different things and finally it worked.....

Short-Range Use Only

I recently moved into a room. Naturally, that's where my computer is. I like to listen to certain radio programs in the kitchen, however; and, since they aren't always on when it's convenient for me, I'm used to streaming from their websites (the computer used to be in a living room/kitchen); so, I ordered Bluetooth speakers ( Creative T12 Bluetooth Wireless Speakers ) and this USB Bluetooth audio transmitter. What I read about it on Amazon.com suggested that it would work well.

The transmitter arrived promptly, but when UPS got the speakers almost here, they handed them over to the US Postal Service, who promptly lost them. J&R Music and Computer World graciously sent me another pair, which arrived in only 10 days--pretty good, considering that the train derailed in Montana.

Anyway, I hooked everything up to test, and it all worked beautifully. Then I moved the speakers out of my room and set them up in the kitchen. Nothing. No reception at all. Just too far and too may walls, I guess. I'll just have to find another solution. I could return the speakers, but, because I ordered the transmitter back when I ordered the original set of speakers, it arrived too early to be returned this late.

To sum up, if your reason for going Bluetooth with speakers is to avoid using wires in the same room, this transmitter is great for that. If, on the other hand, say, the speakers are out in the garage, then I would not recommend this Bluetooth audio transmitter.
