Question tags are short questions at the end of statements. A positive statement is followed by a negative question tag He’s a doctor, isn't he? A negative statement is followed by a positive question tag She isn't coming, is she? with auxiliary verb You've got a car, haven't you? without auxiliary verb (don't, doesn't, didn't use appropriate form). He likes tennis , doesn't he? Exceptions I am use aren't I - I am attractive, aren't I? Let's use shall we - Let's go to the beach, shall we? Although the negative word not is not in the sentence, the sentence can be negative. Then we use the positive question tag. Few , little, hardly, scarcely, rarely, barely, seldom, nobody,no one,none,nothing, never etc are negative words . He never goes out with his dog, does he? A few , a little etc are positive words so we use negative question tag. Use will/would with imperatives ( ‘won't you’
