James M. Long, CPA of Long CPA, PA hired to perform the independent audit of the financial statements for fiscal year 2014 reported to the board the results from the audit.

3.0 PRESENTATIONS
3.01 State Assessments and ASPIRE Overview (Link to PPT), by Mr. Snyder
Mr. Snyder presented information to the board regarding this year’s state assessment plan. Additionally, he gave an overview of the ACT ASPIRE test, which is being considered as a formative and summative assessment program for students in grades 3-11.
3.02 ASPIRE for the JSH, by Mrs. Scherer
Mrs. Scherer presented an overview of the ASPIRE Assessment program and how it would impact student learning at the JSH.

Mrs. Dillon presented information on the new Ambassadors program, BYOC, and Kuder Career Pipeline.
3.06 Innovative School Presentation, by Wanda Small and Cy Wallisch
Both, Mrs. Small and Mr. Wallisch talked about their visit to Walton Rural Life Center, which is an agriculture-based elementary charter school. Other elementary staff who made the trip to Walton were Joyce Thompson, Jessica Paden and Tash Taliaferro.

USDA Loan Approved - The USDA has certified our bond project as a rural development project deemed necessary and cost efficient. This means they have set aside $9.8 million for our district on the contingency the bond election passes. If the election does not pass the voters, then the money goes back to the feds.
