Build your own excavator

We have featured a number of homemade excavators over the years here on the Digger Man Blog and here is another one I came across on the internet recently.

Build your own excavator
There is little if any information on this individual and his creation, all I know is that he calls himself Antonis Antonis on You Tube. What this video does show is what can be achieved with just a few basic mechanical items, time and money to be put into the project. In this first video Antonis gives a brief walk-around of his creation pointing out the various components he has used and the principals behind them.
And in this second video we see the homemade excavator out on the job site. The machine reminded me of the old British Powerfab machines, although in comparison to this they were a lot more refined, but the principal is similar and you have to give the guy credit for putting this thing together, which I am sure will go on to serve him well on small jobs around his property.
Yes its a bit crude looking and certainly seems rather savage during operation but you have to admire the guy for trying.
