About this movie

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Unfortunately, this 2017 movie "Wonder Woman" stinks. Within the first five minutes, they bastardize all of Greek mythology and use the wreckage of that as the basis for the rest of the movie. Maybe that's canon for Wonder Woman, I don't know. But, to put that final nail in, the rest of the movie is obvious and filled with pap and drivel. It was everything I could do just to wade through it. The visuals and acting were good, though. So, I'm upping my rating one star to a mere Pretty Bad 2 stars out of 5.

As a longtime comic fan, I must say I am insulted this piece of filth was allowed to made. Gal Gadot is a war criminal turned supermodel invented by Bibi Netanyahu in a sisyphean attempt to reverse the ambivalence of the younger generation diaspora by making Israel seem sexy. Is still hasn't worked. Apparently her looks and hebrew accent confuse people into thinking she can act. The creators appeared to have written a movie about WWII and only belatedly decided to set it during the first war. Elsewise, they are either exceptionally stupid or brazen mandarins (I'd guess the later based on the amount of money, consultants, and equipment provided by the military). Then, in the final "Triumph of the Will" Gadot stands up to the true evil ...... The peacemaker who weakened the pure Anglo fluids with his hippie cultural Bolshevism in order to give the "Nazis" more time to develop their superweapon. Now nothing will stand in the way of the pure Anglo blood civilizing the entire world with our superior culture of low-brow Hollywood kitsch (except, you know, the actual Nazis.)(and the Soviets.)(Both of which most certainly did not come to power as a result of WWI.) (And also the insurmountable incompetence of the foreign policy elite.)

Overrated as can be. The movie was incredibly generic. Terrible looking action scenes with too much slow-mo and cheesy-looking glamour shots. Wonder Woman steps out of the trenches blocks a few bullets with her wrist armor and leads the way for a few worthless soldiers in cringey fashion. Seriously, one of the worst (but somehow highest rated...) of the recent comic flicks
