Lazy Lynden may leave you lingering in line at the hostess stand for a long, long time - looking out from the bakery sipping pop and chewing on some sort of pastry. Then, be scolded by another employee for being so lazy. Entertaining. :)
Seriously though.... The food was excellent, service too.
I don't expect Lazy Lynden will be an issue for you... She'll be "working" elsewhere I'm sure.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Deb C.Newberry, MI78251Mar 14, 2011First to Review
We were on a weekend get-away and stayed at a motel very close to this restaurant! Bakery, Fudge shop, Gift Shop and Restaurant in one place!
You can eat from a Buffet or menu and several "Specials" to choose from. We both had the Seafood platter and after the salad bar; which is included in the meal price, we were both almost too full to eat our Entree'!! The Seafood Platter includes 2 pieces of battered cod, breaded shrimp & the BIGGEST clams I have ever seen - and I worked in a seafood restaurant in Florida! Service was EXCELLENT and the waitress was VERY attentive.
When paying the bill; we showed the cashier our hotel key card as suggested by a hotel room leaflet , and got 10% off our bill!
It seemed as if a lot of "Locals" were there so, you know it's a good place to eat!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dec 25, 2011
Good family style diner. Huge salad portions. I got the cherry chicken salad. Chicken was nice and tender and great with the cherries and pecans. Chili was nice and thick. Overall a good dining choice.

Stopped here with my mom for breakfast on our way to Bronner's two days before Xmas. There was a big party going on in the back, so the parking lot was packed, leading us to believe this place we'd never been before would probably be good.
And good it was. I worried after stepping inside that maybe they wouldn't be the kind of place that would let me get al egg white omelet, but when I asked they happily whipped it up for me even though it wasn't on the menu.
Service was great and fast.
A nice breakfast stop when heading out shopping in Birch Run.
Make sure you ask for your American fries extra crispy, though. If not they are bordering on raw.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Robert D.Saginaw Charter Township, MI36446Mar 23, 2013

Great place to go for breakfast while travelling on I-75 going north in Michigan, just get off at the Birch Run exit and turn right and right there on the left is the restaurant. You can choose buffet, which I don't usually like because you tend to over eat, or items on a menu. The buffet usually is the same all week-long, the salads look appetizing, but to me that's it! The waitresses are nice and the service is also good. Going into the bathroom is a disaster at times, depends on whether or not it was recently cleaned. Therefore, I am uncertain how the kitchen is cleaned. All in all a decent restaurant, especially for breakfast.

Was not a fan. The only thing I like was the service and bread sticks. Food was not good. I had a burger and my boyfriend had the wings. Needless to say we were sick the next three days. Will not be going back.

I love this place and have had the buffet several times. It is great. I have also had breakfast off the menu and was very happy. Very friendly staff always. Aslo they serve Uncle Bob's Smoky Mountain Premium Sauce on the tables and sell it at the check out.

This place is very nice place to eat. The buffet is good and there is always fresh food being put out. I also love their Italian steak sandwiches. The sauce is tasty and the meat is always juicy. Our family really likes the fish dinners. The fish batter tastes great and they have a good consistency to it. The service is great you won't go thirsty, and you don't have to wait. The ladies are constantly moving around and they seem to work well together. They are always close by if you need something. They just started selling alcohol about a year ago and I haven't tried that, but it gives you some more drink options for dinner. The bakery bread and pastries are delicious. The nutty donuts are flat out awesome. They also have a stuffed bread with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni that you can take home that is very good. We also have had their fudge and they do a great job with that as well. A real nice place to go for all meals.
