The deeper they look, the harder they fall.

Jamie Houston was supposed to just be Leda Riveau’s Thursday night (and maybe Friday morning) fun.

After a romantic and professional disaster three years ago in Nashville, Leda is back in her hometown of Maybelle County. She has a great job, awesome brothers, and friends as allergic to emotions as she is. That's all the sweetness she needs to go along with the bitter taste Nashville left in her mouth.

After all, a girl with her own hashtag - #ledagoesnuclear - cannot be expected to do relationships, no matter what her brothers think.

Jamie is a serial monogamist with a three-year-old son and a long commute--he's not afraid to commit. Although the timing has never been right, he's always had a thing for Leda. He knows full well she doesn't do serious, but that was before the tension between them became explosive.

What starts out as a casual Thursday night arrangement gets messy fast between interfering friends, an amazing son, a sad brother, a pushy mom, and chemistry so intense it’s scary.

How does a man who needs forever win a woman who hates romance?

Swooning for Jamie

I really enjoyed this story.

Jamie was a really unique Hero and there was no way around loving him. He was this steady, confident, committed man who was not pushy or aggressive but he somehow still pulled off the alpha male thing when it really counted. I saw other reviews that didn’t like him because he was too weak to be an alpha. I don’t agree. Knowing what you want and having the patience and respect to let the person you love figure out what they want while whole-heartedly supporting them is not weakness.

Anyways, was Leda frustrating and did I sometimes just think that maybe Jamie should walk away, sure; but at the same time, that’s why Jamie was perfect for her. He had the wherwithal to wait for her and it didn’t hardly phase him to do so. They just work.

I like the secondary characters a lot too. I’m particularly fond of Dunk after this and can’t wait to see what’s in store for him.

I did have two small issues with this book. When Jamie and Leda are scheduling their first meet-up at the spa, Jamie texts that they are meeting on Friday but they actually met on a Thursday. Also, I’m still not exactly sure how the title fits the story since they spend far more than 15 nights together and I don’t recall there being a limit set in the beginning. I might have missed something though.

This was a fun read! I loved the dual POVs. But the sex scenes were to die for. I kind of lean towards books with a little more drama, but this definitely kept me reading. I was really curious to see where Leda and Jaime would end up. Leda was irritating at times, but I got her by the end of the book. Add in a 3yr old, what's not to love? This was my first read by this author and I am definitely a fan now. Can't wait for more from Zoe!

Fifteen Nights was a great story about two people who didn’t expected to find love. I really liked how it was told, in this dual POV. Leda and Jamie were kinda friends, both living in this small town where you don’t have any privacy, where everyone knows everything about your life, gossips and all.

One woman avoiding commitment and a serial dater. Totally opposite but so well matched.

Leda was sticking to her one night stand rules. Trying to deal with her issues, her scars were running deeper than she was letting people know. Hot tempered, feisty and blunt, she was one of a kind, protecting her family but mostly her heart.

Jamie believed in true love and in relationships. Single hot dad, family, work and sometimes dating was his life, until he reconnected with Leda. I liked how he was so opened with his feelings and trying to make Lena his, to push her a little but always with some restraint. Because Jamie was kind of overwhelming and intense. Definitely!

When you discovered the kind of relationship they used to have, you just melt a little. They both shared a lot of things they won’t tell to anyone, and having some deep conversations. Even before getting together, they had a strong bond. The chemistry was great, steamy and really hot at times. They were so good together, but with Leda’s strong walls and issues, Jamie had to act carefully.

Having a POV from a guy falling in love and not afraid to admit to himself was well written, and I really appreciated how the characters were working on themselves, how tight-knit all the characters were. Even in the craziness of this city where you didn’t seem to a bit of privacy, it was really enjoyable because they were all caring about each other.

Nonetheless, it was a little confusing at times, but Jamie and Leda’s journey was entertaining, he is not your average hero and it was definitely refreshing! Their interactions were great, and I can’t wait to read more about all Leda’s friends.

This would be my first read from the Zoe Lee I liked it the characters were likable, there were hot sex scenes great character development , but at times I was a little confused . I loved Jamie Houston he was super adorable he's not you're average hero and I found that refreshing . With Leda I had mix feelings about her she did get overly angry at times and I didn't quite understand it but she grew on me as the story progressed . These two had off the charts hot chemistry they always had a electric connection but due to bad timing they never had a chance until they end up both single and looking to mingle and when they finally get down to business lets just say steamy hot . The h does deny her felling for the H she tries to fight her attraction for him but who can resist that guy ill have one of him please . In the end they were mad for each other they both could handle one another like no other partner could and I found that amazing .

This was such a great book. It isn't your typical the girl always wants to find Mr Right, and get married. This book is the total opposite. Leda has been burnt a few times, so decided relationships just aren't her thing. Little does she know, love is right around the corner. Leda is the kind of guy who isn't afraid to take a chance on finding love.

This was such a great story.

I really wanted to like this story because I like the plot, I just feel like I didn’t get to connect to the characters that much, plus the pacing of the story is confusing (for me).
I will still promote and endorse this book though because I see its potential, but it’s just wasn’t for me.

Meh

The storyline was there but the main characters fell flat. I found that I was more interested in secondary characters. It was hard to get into the book and the main characters were painfully awkward. It has so much potential to be a great story I'm sad it didn't live up to it.

4 1/2 stars!

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

Whew! Everything about this book is intense. Leda is intense. The way Jaime looks at her is intense. Their feelings for each other are intense. And when they finally get together...HOLY CRAP. Hot doesn't even begin to explain these two. But let's go back to the beginning.

Jamie and Leda have known each other for a long time. They grew up in the same town. They know the same people. They even formed a close friendship when they were in their teens, but as they got older, they grew apart and led their own lives. They've had encounters over the years, but they haven't seen each other in a while. Jamie is back in town to visit his three year old sun and he and Leda have a very interesting and funny run in. Fast forward a little bit to New Years Eve (see the excerpt below) and they are at the same party. One thing leads to another and they end up sleeping together. And can I just thank Zoe for giving us Jamie. Good lord, he was not what I expecting and I just about needed a cold shower after reading that scene. (And a few after that!)

These two made such a good pair. You know that couple that fights passionately and then makes up passionately? That is Jamie and Leda. She is known for her temper and how she yells at people for the littlest things, while he is pretty even tempered. Jamie has the patience of a saint for putting up with her and I loved him because of that. Leda has some serious hangups from a past relationship that make her a really difficult person to love, but Jamie made the point of not pushing her away and more importantly, not pushing her to commit. Most people would have walked away, but he knew they had a good thing and was not willing to let that go. Their path to happiness is full of fights (and of course lots of hot make up sex), but it was just what Leda needed to move on from the past.

I loved this book. It was a bit more serious than the first one, but the storyline called for that. I also liked that we got a little but more of Leda's brother Seth in this book. The broken hearted, singer/songwriter has a story to tell and I hope Zoe will write it. Also, can we get Dunk a happily ever after? That goofball needs a woman.

Fifteen Nights by Zoe Lee is my first trip into Maybelle County and I have to say that I wanted to stay there a little longer and get to know more about the characters. This is one sexy and fun read that had me wanting to get through it in one sitting. I hate to say this but there is a however...

The character Leda Riveau took me longer to grab a connection to, I felt that her abrasive #ledagoesnuclear could have been a tad to much. I am all for a strong woman but she kinda brought it on like a crazed woman who needs to take some meds. Leda is a beautiful woman with smarts and walks around carrying the broken heart and pain that her ex caused her. She is surrounded by love by her brothers and friends but that tough wall she has built up could and probably should have pushed away the one guy that sees beyond her attitude.

Oh My Gawd!!! My knees buckle just thinking about Jaime Houston, he has a cute three year old son, amazing family (besides his never pleased mom), friends that really interfere in his life and he is a one woman man...he loves being in love and in a relationship. Jaime is seriously swoon worthy. He has never forgot about the one girl in high school, it was never the right time. Now they are both single and nothing can hold them back, except her fear of falling in love. Will Jaime be satisfied with their Thursday night hook-ups and having to keep his feelings to himself in fear that she will go nuclear on him? I tell you ... This gorgeous hunk of a man had patience.

Fifteen Nights is truly an enjoyable read that left me with all these characters that I hope to read about very soon. When Leda allows that connection with Jaime to surface it makes for one sexy read that had a way of keeping a smile on my face. I have to say falling in love with Maybelle County and Jaime Houston is very easy. This story is perfectly written, it has passion, second chance falling in love, heartbreak and trying to let go of the past and believing you deserve happiness and that is everything I enjoy in a good read.
It's a 4.5 Star read for me!

My favorite piece of advice to give single friends is “you’ll often find love when you least expect it.” I know that I certainly did. And that’s exactly what Fifteen Nights is all about. Zoe Lee tells the story with humor, heat and a little history. I loved the small town charm of this book. The whole everybody knows your name sort of feel. This is my first book by Lee and I loved that it was about a woman who wasn’t looking for a happily ever after. Those aren’t a common occurrence.

Leda is snarky and as prickly as a cactus. She’s been burned in the past and wants nothing to do with romance or marriage. Men are for sex. But under all that bluster are some hidden scars. She stumbles across Jamie quite by accident. Jamie is a serial monogamist and a single dad. He’s intense, a little awkward and kind of adorable. These two have some serious chemistry they just about shorted out my Kindle with it. The sparks were a flying! This lead to some serious heat—I had to fan myself a few times. Also, with Leda’s personality there was tons of hilarious witty banter and one-liners. I loved watching Leda go nuclear even if she frustrated me and I wanted to shake some sense into her.

The character development was on point. They were seriously complex characters with several layers to them. The cast of secondary characters were just as great adding shenanigans and hijinks for some well-placed comic relief. The drama was realistic and fit the plot without being over the top or drawn out. Overall, this was a fantastic read. I’m definitely looking forward to the next story.

If you like stories that are just a little off the beaten path, this might be for you. It’s certainly a departure from the woman looking for a HEA storyline but it works so well.

Fifteen Nights by Zoe Lee is the first book that I've read from this author, but man was it the perfect introduction to this extraordinary writing style! When I read the synopsis for this story I was immediately intrigued because it's not the typical love story where the girl is looking for the perfect happily ever after romance.

Leda Riveau is a beautiful women looking for a little bit of fun with Jamie Houston, a single father who is a serial monogamist who's not afraid of a commitment. What starts off as a night of passion soon turns into something more when interfering friends, an amazing son, a sad brother, a pushy mom, and chemistry so intense it’s scary enters the picture. Can Leda finally open herself up to the possibility of something more or will she continue to fight her desire-too scared to make a move?

The obvious chemistry between Leda and Jamie is immediately recognizable and adds so much for the intensity of this beautifully written story! I strongly recommend checking this book out if you're looking for a story so off the charts that your heart can't handle it...

Leda Riveau is a very blunt woman with no filter, has very deep scars, and hot tempered, after a romantic and professional disaster in Nashville three years ago. Now she's back home in Maybelle County with a great job, friends, and amazing brothers, but that doesn't keep her from avoiding commitment. She has set rules of one night stands, and that's it. Jaime is a single father with a three year old son, who isn't afraid to commit. He's always had a thing for Leda, but their timing was always off. Now they have casual friend's with benefits Thursday nights, but since their connection is off the charts strong, it gets messy quickly, as he wants more. Will Leda be brave enough to open the door to her heart?!

This is the first book that I've read by Zoe Lee, and it won't be my last! Her talented writing style had me fully captivated cover to cover, and I devoured this story in one sitting. Jaime and Leda's off the charts chemistry nearly set my kindle on fire from the sparks alone, leading to STEAMY sexy scene goodness. Jaime was an original hero that I fell hard for, but Leda kept me all jacked up, as I wanted to choke her more than once. That doesn't mean that I didn't grow to love her, just that she stirred up extreme emotions in me, even though I understood where she was coming from. A colorful cast of secondaries only added more awesome to this story, with some well placed humor to keep me laughing. The dual POV made it even better for me, since the two characters were night and day. I cannot wait to read more by this author in the future so I'm HIGHLY recommending Fifteen Nights to all!

Fifteen Nights by Zoe Lee
Synopsis

"The deeper they look, the harder they fall.

Jamie Houston was supposed to just be Leda Riveau’s Thursday night (and maybe Friday morning) fun.

After a romantic and professional disaster three years ago in Nashville, Leda is back in her hometown of Maybelle County. Fifteen Nights is a slow burn, but then it's just all-consuming in the end -- much like how Leda and Jamie's relationship is once she finally admits that they are in one!

They've been friends since they were teenagers, and Jamie has always had a thing for Leda. But the timing was never right, mostly because he is a serial committed dater and was always in a relationship. Badly burned from her one serious relationship, Leda doesn't want anything more than a casual hookup. They give into their amazing chemistry on New Years Eve, and they soon become Thursday night bed buddies. Jamie almost immediately knows he wants Leda forever. But how can he convince her that their connection is worth putting her heart out there again?

By being patient. So very, very patient. And all she does is push him away! Jamie is a saint! Leda's insecurities got to be too much after awhile, and I wanted to smack some sense into her. I loved the twist here where the guy wants forever and has to change the heroine's Mom me. I also felt there are way too many supporting characters, some I thought were rather unnecessary and served no real purpose. But overall, Fifteen Nights was a story as charming as I imagined Jamie's southern drawl to be!!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Zoe Lee brings us back to Maybelle County with her second book Fifteen Nights and this time we get to know the feisty Leda Riveau.

Leda is the loud mouth, get in your face, tell it like it is, take no prisoners Riveau sibling. To those closest to her she is fiercely loyal and extremely protective. Some may not like her brash attitude, but I think her passion makes her endearing.

Jamie Houston is what some people call a serial monogamist, but really he's just been biding his time until he can make a move on the one girl that captured his heart many years ago. He's devotion to his child is compelling. His persistence is riveting, no matter how much Leda pushes he stays. He's heart is true and that's what I love about him.

The chemistry between to two is like fire, with the flames flying off the pages. It's hot, steamy, and intense. They each have issues to work through, but they can't deny their connection.

I love Jamie and Leda, but also all the supporting characters. This close knit group of individuals know how to take care of each other and support one another. They're friends that feel more like family.

Fifteen Nights is an enthralling book I highly enjoyed and couldn't put it down. I can't wait to see what Zoe will bring us next.

I enjoyed taking another stroll through Maybelle County, this time along with Leda and Jamie. Leda is feisty and even though she has quite the temper, I found that I liked her character a lot. Leda gets her heart shattered by an old boyfriend and ends up back home, refusing to date again. She’ll just stick with casual hook-ups. Jamie is the serial monogamist. He’s a relationship kinda guy and makes no apologies for it. He wants it all…love, romance, and a family.

Running into each other out of the blue, it’s immediate to both that their chemistry is still there. Giving in to a weekly hook-up, Leda is still determined not to “date” Jamie. At times, I found her hard headedness aggravating and wanted to strangle her over and over, but in the end I enjoyed her character. For someone who swore off passion and romance, she is one of the most passionate and romantic characters I’ve read in a while. I loved visiting with the same characters from Pour Your Heart Out and look forward to them getting their own books too. Overall, I enjoyed Fifteen Nights. The only thing negative I have is I don’t understand the title of the book. I don’t understand how it fits into the storyline. Other than that, it’s a great read.

There was a quiet charm about this and I think that was down to the fact that both Jamie and Leda had a sort of uncomplicated connection, even when it shouldn’t have been.
I liked the reversal of roles that this put in place, the fact that it was Leda that didn’t want a relationship or at least didn’t think she did, the fact that Jamie knew, from the get-go that there was more to her being with Leda than either of them had probably imagined and was willing to do what it took to get her to see that once burnt doesn’t mean forever lonely!
The story did pitch a little in places for me but that is nothing to worry about because you will be enthralled by the journey that this pair enter onto, the time and patience that Jamie shows as he gentle coaxes Leda into letting him into her life.
Will he succeed? That is for me to know and you to find out…go on, give it a go you will not be disappointed.

I'm not gonna lie, I kinda like when the male is the monogamist and the female isn't looking to settle down. It's the girl power in me lol. Plus I love that she has her own hashtag; #ledagoesnuclear.

Leda is back in town and causing a stir. She's helping at the restaurant/bar her family owns while helping with obligatory fundraisers. Life is what it is for her when she runs into her best friend's older brother, Jamie. For years, Leda had a slight interest in him but either she was involved or he was. Now neither of them is...

Jamie has liked Leda since they were kids and now seems to be a golden opportunity to get things going with her. Except Leda doesn't want a relationship and Jamie is a serial monogamist. Hence the problem.

I liked that in this story, there was a deep down reason for why Leda is so anti-relationship and why she's more prone to one night stands. There was a depth to her reasoning not just because of something that happened previously.

So I'm just going to be brutally honest.... I didn't like this book at all. I felt like their wasn't any connection between the reader and the characters. I was just so bored I had to keep pushing myself to finish this. I really felt nothing until about 50% in the book and then it was back to well basically being a flat night. Leda's character got on my nerves. She lacked interesting characteristics and she was just so annoying. Jamie, the male lead wasn't much better. He's like a lost puppy hanging on to her attention when she denies their even dating. It takes she the whole book before she ever comes around. I just felt like the whole character build was lacking because you have all these friends and family members to keep up with their names and if you're not completely memorizing each one your lost by the next page. All in all it just lacked any feeling. Sorry!

This was a great book!

Leda is back in her home town working at the family restaurant after her ex-boyfriend broke her heart and embarrassed her at work. She is strong willed and not afraid of an argument.

Jamie has liked Leda since he was 18 years old and they spent 5 hours in a car on the way back from a trip.

He is a serial monogamist; she is a serial one nighter. Can Jamie prove to Leda they are worth the risk? Can Leda get over the insecurities her ex left her with?

It is so easy to connect with both main characters in this book. The side characters are hilarious and make the story even better! Cannot wait for more

I'm a fan of the small town Zoe Lee has created. I feel personally attached to everyone including all the side characters and each book I only become more and more invested into this community.

I really enjoyed these characters. I loved that Jamie was the one who was always in a relationship and Leda was the relationship-phobe. It's a great twist to a typical scenario. Jamie being a single dad only added to my love for him. I am such a sucker for a single dad. Their banter and interactions drew me in but for me personally I could have used more dialogue. While Jamie was easy to love, Leda was slightly harder but not in a way that made the story unenjoyable. If you are looking for am easy read with a small town setting give this standalone a go!

I thought the story was okay. I felt like there was too much going on at times. The main two characters are Jamie and Leda. They have a connection that continues to draw them together, and eventually their chemistry just can't keep them apart. The writing was too busy at times, trying to add a lot of characters and situations and events for the benefit of the two main characters. For the most part, I felt the story was basically sex scenes filled in with some plot on how they got to those situations. Nothing heart wrenching or book hangover memorable. But, in the end, the couple was cute and they got their HEA.

A short quick read of two individuals that grew up together and didn't make a move until they were older.

Leda was not the relationship type because of an ex that hurt and embarrassed her. Jamie was the complete upset he was Mr. Softie and Mr. Relationship.

Leda had a terrible attitude that was hard to stomach at times but funny all wrapped up in one. Jamie couldn't control her at all, lol. Things moved rather quickly with these two and they received their happily ever after.

This book has a lot of positive reviews but quite honestly I did not enjoy it. I found it very laborious and slow. I loathed the female heroine, Leda, she was an awful character, bad tempered and aggressive and there was nothing to like about her. The reason she behaved the way she did was a bad relationship/breakup, but I don't think what happened to her was a good enough reason to be that angry and aggressive. The characters all had weird names which I didn't like. The only reason it gets 1☆ from me is the male character Jamie and his son, without them this book would've been a DNF.

This is the first book by this author that ive read and I definitely wasn't disappointed one bit. This is a fun read book with lots of added hot and steamy scenes. The characters were very likeable and had fab chemistry. This is a story about two people finding love when they least expect it. This book had me wanting more when I had finished. I cant wait to read more from this author in the future.

Highly recommended
