Body shaming haters just gave Pink a reason to speak out after making comments that she’s fat.
“You’re referring to the pictures of me from last night’s cancer benefit that I attended to support my dear friend Dr. Maggie DiNome,”the 35-year-old singer tweeted Sunday following the criticism she received after attending theJohn Wayne 30th Annual Odyssey Ball in Beverly Hills, Calif.the day before. “She was given the Duke Award for her tireless efforts and stellar contributions to the eradication of cancer. But unfortunately, my weight seems much more important to some of you.”
Pink rocked all black to the event and confessed she didn’t think the ankle-length gown she wore photographed well.
“While I admit that that dress didn’t photograph as well as it did in my kitchen, I will also admit that I felt very pretty,” she wrote.
“In fact, I feel beautiful,” Pink added. “So, my good and concerned peoples, please don’t worry about me. I’m not worried about me. And I’m not worried about you either … I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off. Thanks for your concern. Love, cheesecake.”
The mother of one daughter, 3-year-old Willow Sage Hart, with husband Carey Hart, is not only confident in herself, but she says knows without a doubt that her man loves her just the way she is.
“My hubby says ‘it’s just more to love baby,'” she captioned a photo of the pair at the cancer benefit, adding, “And then I smack his hand off my booty cause we’re in a supermarket.”
Like any good mommy, Pink is teaching her daughter the importance of self-love.
“Will said to me the other day whilst grabby my belly ‘mama why r u so squishy?'” the singer captioned another photo of her and Willow. “And I said … ‘b/cuz I’m happy baby.'”
