Blue Star Family Coney Island

Long time customer here. First time trying the marinated chicken sandwich. Blue Star never disappoints!

Decided to try out a formerly unknown-to-me local coney island at lunch today and....I quickly figured out why I'd never heard of it. The 'chili cheese fries' I ordered? Well....the steak cut fries were okay but the chili was clearly canned and the cheese was NACHO CHEESE sauce. WTF? I didn't order Mexican fries and I'm less than pleased that they think we can't tell the difference. It's an obvious cost-cutting move so they can use the same already-opened can of processed goop for their $8.99 nacho plate.

My counterpart said that his coney dogs were dry and the buns served were stale.

The place was pleasant enough for a hole-in-the-strip-mall kind of joint and our waitress was pleasant but given the obvious lack of attention to their food or menu...I wont be back.

I'm there every Saturday morning and I wouldn't have it any other way. The people are always friendly, the food is consistent and the price is more than reasonable. Having family in the name is appropriate because after going there a few times they really do treat you like family. They are on a first name basis with most of their customers and usually remember your meal preferences, this is the exactly the kind of local establishment that makes a town great.

I was in the Blue Star Sunday Aug. 4 my husband and my self sat before 3 other tables the waitress persisted to ask them if they were ready to order I had to tell her we were ready disrespectful

On point food an call in orders great eggs u can tell there not old or sitting out in the open like other places do. Good breakfast sandwich also keep up the good work staff an owners I'll be in soon too dine in

I've seen this place here for many years, but never stopped in until today. To start, the wait staff are very attractive, attentive, friendly, and natural.. The food came out and was twice as much as I expected. I ordered got my drink and food was ready in 10 min. I got the Ruben with fries. Was delicious!! I'll be a regular for sure.

Absolutely the BEST breakfast in the entire STATE! Scrambled eggs are perfect. The portions are more than generous. You won't even get inside the door and the waitresses are seating you and asking what you would like to drink! This place is awesome.

Good food, friendly staff, decent price. Been going here for years. I've had a couple of not-so-good experiences, but they've always taken care of any issue right away. My favorite hole-in-the-wall coney.

The food has been pretty good, the waitresses and cooks are nice, so I don't have any complaints.

My absolute favorite place to go with the family after church!! The grilled chicken is always so juicy and plentiful!!! I love the chicken Greek salad!!! My fiancé always gets the country style omelette with gravy on top so delicious!! The waitresses are all so amazing and sweet. Never a bad experience!!
