BitShares Referrals w/ AdWords

BitShares is a Decentralized Exchange that was built using the latest in industry research. A decentralized exchange is an exchange market that does not rely on a third party service to hold the customer's funds. Instead, trades occur directly between users (peer to peer) through an automated process. BitShares offers a stack of decentralized financial services including exchange and banking on a blockchain.

Here is some data for my BitShares referral campaign with AdWords.

The ad was very straightforward with the slogan from the BitShares website. My referral URL does not show in the text link, but the landing page has my referral link https://wallet.bitshares.org/?r=money-dreamer

This graph shows that I got about 400 clicks out of about 7,000 impressions with a cost per click of $0.20 and total cost of $80.

At first, I chose some more generic keywords such as "bitcoin" and "cryptocurrency" but they performed poorly. It appears the only keyword that can maintain a low minimum bid is "bitshares". The other keywords started attracting clicks but then I disabled them because they were performing poorly requiring a higher minimum bid (up to $7). The minimum bid required for the "bitshares" keyword is $0.71 which converts to approximately an average of $0.20 per click. The CPC will probably be higher because they start out lower to test their performance before the placement engine adjusts them.

The ads were not targeted to any specific territories but a majority of the traffic came from USA and India:

The devices are split up to about 2/3 mobile to 1/3 desktop with tablets having about 3% of total clicks. I adjusted the bid up for Desktop since that will probably have the highest conversion rate.

It is not easy to see if I am making any profits from this campaign, since a lot of the commissions will be deferred until they start making transactions or they upgrade to Lifetime Member status. Here is my referral commission so far after 2 days of letting the ads run:
