1/3/2013 15:44:17Enhancement / AdditionGreen Line: Disagree if you want (anyone), but the White Bear Lake line should not be interlined with Green. Wasn't it Yellow before?
1. The ridership demand and frequency will never be a match.
2. That's one long line...it's just not realistic, or even necessarily desirable. The trackage interlining possibilities aren't great either. You can't run "in-service" trains through the Operations & Maintenance facility!
3. Also, this line is highly speculative in the first place. I feel like several of the other bus routes would become LRT/BRT before a St. Paul-WBL route. But we've come this far...let's just go back to Yellow.

Re-adjust station placement along the central corridor (increase spacing). Re-adjust station placement along all other affected corridors. visualizerfixed1/3/2013

1/3/2013 20:06:46Enhancement / AdditionPlease put a picture of Tupac in the bus & Biggie in the LRT vehicle.* Probably best if they're waiving. This will help by being amazing.

*If this causes people to refer to the light rail lines as the Notorious L.R.T., I'll count that as a win.

1/3/2013 23:24:16CorrectionLine Geometry (Transit)If you insist on adding minor bus lines (63, 65, etc) not part of Metro's planned rapid network, check the recommended changes when Central Corridor begins service: http://metrotransit.org/recommended-plan.aspx Namely the 63 will continue up to Raymond Station. twincitizenfixed1/7/2013

1/4/2013 1:12:52Enhancement / AdditionLine Geometry (Transit)For the sake of not having the map need to continue so far south, eliminate the 2 southernmost stations on the Red Line. Lakeville Cedar is the likely terminus for the foreseeable future. Ridership on this BRT line is projected to be quite low and there will not be public support for expansion. This is 2030 after all, right?twincitizenfixed

1/8/2013 22:09:00CorrectionIncorrect Label / NameEliminate 50. The Green Line will be taking over for the Route 50.

On the route 4, eliminate that little turnaround loop at the north end...that seems like too much detail.

I would suggest altering the geometry of the Minnesota River to more accurately define Bloomington as "wedge shaped" if that makes sense. I mean to make the current horizontal line more slanted in a SW-NE direction.

1/24/2013 21:51:59CorrectionLine Geometry (Transit)Move 66th Street further north. It seems way too close to 494. Also, move the crosstown (where orange and red lines diverge) further north as well. There's just too much room between 46th and 62nd down here. I know it isn't supposed to be geographically accurate, but this part of the map could be a little closer to reality without cluttering anything up.twincitizenfixed
18
1/26/2013 19:22:51CorrectionOther Geometry1. Make the Minnesota River the same thickness of the Mississippi.

2. More evenly space the Orange Line stations south of the river.

3. Since we are talking 2030 (and beyond), lets go ahead and add the 38th Street Station to the Orange Line. I think this map is going to be really popular, and in a way we can use it to advance certain ideas/desires about transit in the region. If you add 38th Street Station, you can also add Route 23, if you don't think it will make the map too busy.

2/8/2013 21:59:12CorrectionLine Geometry (Transit)Bus Route 67 first joins the Green line at Fairview Avenue Station rather than Raymond Avenue Station. It will travel along University Avenue from Fairview Avenue to Franklin Avenue, past the Raymond Avenue Station.fixed2/9/2013

2/9/2013 16:09:45CorrectionIncorrect Label / NameYou have "Highland Village" on the wrong end of the 46. It's a shopping center in St. Paul, named after the Highland Park neighborhood. Probably just remove the label.twincitizenfixed2/9/2013

3/3/2013 12:02:35CorrectionAt 46th & Bryant, I'm not sure why you have a "6" there, next to Routes 4 and 46. Also, haven't heard from you in a while, how is the map coming along?twincitizen
