HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience, easy to book, it took 16 hours to move my 2 bedroom into a storage place, which was 10 minutes away from where I was living, two truck loads not one, second load they refused to unload until I paid $1,200.00 to release my stuff, everything was just thrown in, NEVER NEVER NEVER use this company my move cost over $2000.00 It was not worth having these people do anything, they were very slow and very unprofessional they are rip off artists, they should be put out of business. I hired Movers4you to move some items from a storage unit to my home and I must say I was very pleased with their service. They responded quickly to me and their movers are friendly and strong. Best of they were no hidden fees, a great price, they were quick and helpful.

I will use this company again and would recommend them anyone who needs to move.

A myriad of things to avoid this company for your moving needs:
-Movers arrived after/later than me even after saying they had arrived.
-They managed to lock themselves out of their truck (left the keys in the truck) which caused a 50 minute delay in the move.
-They used our furniture to stand on because they needed to see into the van to lockpick the key out. Very disrespectful.
-The movers did not speak or communicate effectively in English and thus did not understand that they could use our dolly/moving cart.
-Movers scratched shelving, the legs of furniture and also dropped my BBQ damaging it.
-Did not wear gloves or take gloves offered by us
-My mattress was moved but also dragged on the ground rendering it dirty even though it was in a mattress protector bag which ripped because of the dragging. On top of that, the movers bled onto the mattress itself somehow. (All while refusing our help to find bandages or instructions on how to safely move our items so that it wouldn't cause injury) - Used the sink to wash wounds and also left blood in the sink.
-Items that are meant to be moved by two people were constantly precariously moved by one person in a manner that didn't reflect any respect to the property.
-Slow to start, also taking items one at a time (not efficiently using the dolly/s) - the one guy was also CONSTANTLY on his phone.
-If we had not been watching them, I'm sure they would have taken 4 times as long. Basically had to do most of the work in moving items and making sure nothing was damaged.
-The movers also ran out of wrapping for my furniture after only a few pieces which was disappointing, and lead to many things scratched or dented.

Where do I even start? I've never written a review in my life, but really need to let everyone know how bad this experience was.

The booking process was extremely easy - they sent over wardrobe boxes in advance came no problem which was great, started off well.

Here's where everything goes downhill.

1.) They showed up an hour late - booked for 9:30 - showed up at 10:30 drinking Tim Hortons coffee and yawning getting out of the car after I told them I had the elevator booked at the other building from 12:00 - 3:00PM because someone needs to move after me.

2.) The guys looked like students about 120 pounds each and all under 5'6 couldn't lift a piece of paper if they tried.

3.) The guys came in a Discount Rental Truck with no covers to protect furniture and small dolly that looked like it was to carry cases of fruit - I honestly dont think this company is real movers whatsoever.

4.) My biggest pet peeve is they kept taking their mask offs after we told Sam the owner to make sure theyre wearing their masks as my parents are old and Covid - very high risk. - This continued throughout the move, I call Sam the owner and he goes the weathers humid today and its difficult to work with masks on, it was a joke of an answer.

5.) They load the truck up and go we cant do this in one run we need to do two runs - which wasnt part of the plan whatsoever as we only had the elevator for a limited amount of time. And we were on hourly.

6.) As we go to the new place - the guy just vanishes and we go where are you guys? They go one of our guys got sick and the other guy had to drive him home but we're sending you two new guys who are 20 minutes away - an hour later. But dont worry we wont charge you - extremely unprofessional. Said he was vomiting which scares me, then Sam the owner said he stubbed his toe - etc. Who knows but lets hope none of them have been in contact with anyone that has Covid which made one of them sick as they drive in a truck all side by side together with no masks.

7.) They Scratched all kinds of furniture - will attach pictures.

8.) My friend and I ended up moving out 50% of the stuff ourselves and put it in the moving room for them to carry which we ended up bringing up also.

9.) It took them from 10:30am to 8:00PM at night - we just rode out the service elevator - tenants in the building were snapping.

This is the best part, towards the end I tell the owner Sam I'm not paying anywhere near full price for this - he calls his guys they shut the door of the van and said theyre not moving the rest out until you pay $1,200.00 in full via e-mail transfer then they'll release the furniture.

Biggest scam/crooks ever - never use them.

If I could give them less than one star I would. 1.75 hours late for arrival. I explained how much stuff there was and he said the recommended truck would work but I had to leave a truck load in my friends garage because the way they threw my stuff in...not all of it would fit. Ended with several items damaged, I have to get another truck to get the rest...and I won't be calling them for that load...miserable experience for over $2000.00

** PLEASE READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO FIND A LAST MINUTE MOVERS ON YOUR MOVING DAY**

I talked with Sam and booked the service 2 months before my moving day. I was moving from condo to condo and all of the elevators were booked as well a few months ago.
HOWEVER, Sam message me a few minutes before they were supposed to show up and told me they gotta delay for 3 hours or start moving tomorrow.
When I asked the condo management, of course, it was the end of the month, so there were no vacancies. I told Sam about this and the answer he gave me was that he couldn't come because I didn't have a backup. I am so upset because everything was booked months ago and everything was packed and waiting but the only thing he said is that he can't do anything for me.
I called the management and asked them a favour to use the elevator late at night. I messaged him and called again, but he ignored me. he didn't answer calls and didn't reply to messages. But when my fiance called, he eventually answered the phone. But again he said there was nothing he could do.
Literally, I called 70 moving companies and one responded, but the price was double. Although the price was out of my budget I had to pay the amount they asked because there was no way I could move the other day.

Although I prepared everything long time ago, THIS GUY made me to do everything from the beginning on the same day of our moving day.
It was the WORST experience and I don't want anybody experience this again.
Even if everything goes according to plan, moving is already a stressful day. Not only was this man unprofessional, but he was also too irresponsible.

DO NOT RISK YOUR TIME AND MONEY just because it is cheaper than others! There will be a price that you have to pay like us..

Movers canceled on me an hour before a move that had been scheduled for a month, saying the driver was out too late the night prior. Not reliable, would not recommend.

Avoid!!!! Used this company a few months ago. Just an awful moving company and the owner Sam cant be trusted. They will damage your stuff and property. They will delay your move. The workers are not skilled! Most of the positive reviews are fake.

Movers4you were efficient but not careful enough with my things! They dented/scratched my floor and door with the dolly and then broke my dresser so that the drawers wouldn't slide in/out and it was useless. The manager, Sam, refused to have the movers come back to remove the dresser so I had to do it myself. They also forgot an item of mine in their truck but they did not return it after I asked. Initially Sam didn't offer any compensation for the dresser or item left in the truck and said that these things happen when you move and they will be more careful next time. It wasn't until I contacted him again expressing that this wasn't acceptable, that he offered $60. They also didn't wrap any of my fragile items to protect them. I will never use Movers4you again...Let's Get Moving seems like a good alternative.
