Actualizing Equity: Housing Is a Human Right
Where we live impacts every aspect of our lives - it affects how we thrive in our community and provides the foundation for our health, education, safety, and economic wellbeing. There isn’t one kind of housing that fits the needs of every Minnesotan, but every member of our community has a right to an affordable, safe, dignified home.   Join us to explore how that right is denied and disregarded in the face of gendered violence, racism, the (in)justice system, anti-immigrant discrimination, and other forms of oppression.

Monday, June 11th, noon – 1:30 pm
Hope Community
611 E Franklin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404

The 2018 Actualizing Equity Series will dive into each section covered by Our A.R.E.A.: the Alliance’s Regional Equity Agenda, a living document that outlines visions and strategies for the development of a just, equitable Twin Cities region. Local leaders will join us in exploring and discussing the ways the following issue areas intersect with the rich identities and historical struggles of our communities.
