Alumni 101:  Winter 2019 Workshops RSVP
The Winter Quarter Alumni 101 series includes the following workshops.  Please RSVP for any/all that you plan to attend.  You can sign in using your e-mail to change your RSVP if plans change.

January 29 – Interviewing:  What’s it really like?

February 12 – Non-Obvious Career Options

February 26 – When Sh*t Happens:  Overcoming Fear of Failure

As usual we ask that you RSVP for this event so we can plan how much food to order so no-shows hurt. It is important that we have a good estimate for how many of you will attend this workshop.  Walk-ins are welcome even without an RSVP, but no-shows keep other people from attending.

If you RSVP and don't show we may not accept your RSVP for future events.

January 29 – Interviewing:  What’s it really like?
UC San Diego alumni whose responsibilities include interviewing and hiring new talent share their approach to selecting candidates, priorities in choosing the right individuals, and the realities of the web vs. human contact in the interviewing process
February 12 – Non-Obvious Career Options
There is a world of opportunities that will use your degree and skills, but that aren’t obvious based on their job title.  Meet engineering and non-engineering alumni and hear about the diverse career paths they have taken and how success and opportunity may lie in directions you’ve never heard about
February 26 – When Sh*t Happens:  Overcoming Fear of Failure
Meet successful alumni who have experienced and survived and even thrived after being dumped on by life.  Learn from their experiences and why failure often leads to even greater success because if you aren’t risking failure, perhaps the goal is not hard enough
