Volunteer Roles + Responsibilities
In General:
As a front of house volunteer, you will be assigned to the Front of House Manager during your
attendance at St. Paul’s.
General:
1. Your call time for each performance will be 6:15 (evenings) and 1:15 (matinees)
2. Dress for the event is black pants/skirt, white shirt/blouse
3. Evening shows, we open the doors to the audience at 7:15, performance starts at 8:00.
4. Matinee shows, we open the doors to the audience at 2:15, performance starts at 3:00
5. There is a 20-minute intermission
6. The performance will end around 10 (evenings) and 5 (matinees)
7. Once the performance starts, you may stand at the back of the church and watch the show
8. We ask that you maintain a professional and courteous manner throughout the evening
9. Any movement should be kept to a minimum during the performance as this can be distracting
to the Chorus
Duties
The Front of House (FOH) manager will be your supervisor during the performance and some of
the tasks you will be asked to do include:
1. Assist in setting up / restoring lobby decorations
2. Collect tickets at the door
3. Partner with another volunteer and sell raffle tickets
4. Guide patrons to their seats in the church if required
5. Once the show starts assist late-comers to their seats at appropriate times
6. Assist in cleaning up the church at the end of the show
7. Assist the Front of House Manager in any other duties assigned to you
