Welcome Team

The Welcome Teams believe that the sermon starts in the parking lot. These teams are made up of individuals who love welcoming every guest in a way that radiates Christ’s passion and love for people.
Time Commitment: 30 minutes before and 15 minutes after a service, every week or every other week.
Age Requirement: 18+ years, unless otherwise noted

GREETING TEAM - Welcomes guests from the parking lot to the auditorium. (12+ years)

GUEST SERVICE DESK TEAM - Provides details about The Rock to the guests at each service.

USHER TEAM - Guides people to the nearest available seat in a quick and orderly fashion, and takes up the offering. (12+)

PARKING TEAM - Welcomes and directs guests to a parking place, and keeps traffic flowing smoothly.

Guest Service

The Guest Service Teams utilizes the multitude of skills in our church. These teams are made up of individuals who love helping others and have training in management, technology support, and/or medical response experience.
Time Commitment: Varies
Age Requirement: 18+ years, unless otherwise noted

VOLUNTEER HEADQUARTERS TEAM - Assists volunteers with check-in, helps them through the plug-in process, and ensures that all volunteers feel welcomed and appreciated. (1 Hr before service)

CAMPUS SAFETY TEAM* - Secures our children’s areas, oversees general meeting places, and is on-hand for any situations that may arise. This team also includes a team of Medics who are trained professionals who assist in situations until official help arrives (if needed). (2-4 services/month)

FACILITY CLEANING CREW - Maintains the clean and excellent appearance of our facilities as guests make their way through the building. (12+ years, 1 HR/week)

COFFEE TEAM - Serves guests by providing beverages and snacks coffee shop. (Starts at 7:30am each Sunday, between 2-4 Sundays a month.)

SET UP TEAM - Assists with setting up all supplies and equipment for special services. (12+ years, 90 minutes before first service)

SUNDAY CARE TEAM* - Paraprofessionals (not licensed or paid professional therapists) trained in the skills of listening, goal-setting, and providing practical biblical advice. (21+, 30 mins/Sunday)

Worship and Praise Team

If you can sing or play an instrument, please consider joining our praise band. Or if you would be more interested in working behind the scene, consider joining the Production team.
Time Commitment: 1 to 2 services each Sunday, meeting for weekly practice
Age requirement: 18+ years

PRODUCTION TEAM - This team includes all things technical involved with the media presentation of every Sunday and some events throughout the week. Some of the many responsibilities of this team include running computers, cameras, teleprompter, recording the service, and even some lighting effects. (1 hr before first service through all services)

Small Groups

Delve into the word on a week day! Material for studies will be provided.
Time Commitment: 2 hrs/week during small group seasons ( Jan. – May and Aug. – Nov. )
Age requirement: 18+ years of age

SMALL GROUP LEADER* - Lead a small group that discusses the Sunday sermon. These volunteers have a heart for Biblical community and discipleship.

SMALL GROUP HOST* - Open up your home to provide a meeting place for a small group. Interview required

SMALL GROUP PARTICIPANT - Please let us know if you are interested in joining a small group

Community Care

Help spread the love of Jesus to the church and our neighbors!
Time Commitment: Varies
Age Requirement: (18+ years unless otherwise noted)

WEEKDAY PRAYER TEAM - Prays for the prayer requests received on Sunday throughout the rest of the week. (1 Hr throughout the week)

COMMUNITY IMPACT TEAM - This team shows the community the love of Jesus by doing outreach projects. Skills are appreciated, but not required. (As needed)

FOOD TEAM* - Delivers meals from restaurants or homemade to the homes of regular attenders who have experienced a significant event (21+, As needed)

PRAYER TEAM - Prays for the prayer requests received on Sundays, with updates throughout the rest of the week via email. (15-20 min/Sunday)

HOSPITAL VISITATION TEAM* - Encouraging individuals who are comfortable visiting attendees and members of The Rock in the hospital and offering uplifting words and prayer the individuals and their families. (21+, Interview required. )

GRIEF TEAM* - Individuals who desire to care for those coping with difficult life situations through periodic encouraging phone calls and cards.(21+, Interview required. )
