Lesbian, bisexual, & queer (LBQ) in California face significant barriers accessing primary health care, including experiencing homophobia and biphobia. LBQ women lack access to culturally appropriate health care, low insurance coverage, mental health services, and life-saving preventative services like mammograms and other cancer screenings. There are currently no targeted state funds to address the health needs of LBQ women in California.

We have the opportunity to tell our state legislators that we need to prioritize LBQ women's health. We are going to demand that California create the Lesbian, Bisexual, and Queer Women’s Health Equity Fund. We are going to demand that California create the Lesbian, Bisexual, and Queer Women’s Health Equity Fund. This fund will be used to create a comprehensive 18 million grant program across California that will address LBQ women’s health disparities.
