Questionnaire #2
Hello!

My name is Denise and as a part of the Society and Culture HSC course, all students are required to compose a Personal Interest Project. The topic selected in which I've chosen to investigate is ‘How has Disney’s Films influenced society’s changing perceptions of the gender roles and expectations of women’

In order to examine this hypothesis, this questionnaire/survey/focus question will aid my primary research as it will allow me to determine how Disney can shape an individual’s conception of reality. The questionnaire/survey/focus will not take account of any personal details thus your identity will remain anonymous, so please answer truthfully.

Thank you so much for your time; it is truly appreciated. Have a lovely day!

Is the Prince Charming figure a key part in all endings of the Disney movies or was he just another factor into the 'Happily Ever After' and not the dominating one? *
Do you think a Disney movie can give the same 'Happily Ever After' ending without the Prince Charming figure at all? Explain why. *
Would you rather see a Disney princess without a more romantic context in their movies? Why? *
The movie 'Frozen' was created to steer away from the concept of the ‘damsel in distress’ (as seen in Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora and Ariel) and instead portray more empowered and independent women. However, in order for the protagonist to be a heroine, Anna had to rely on her 'Prince' character (in this case, Kristoff) to help her get to where she needed to be. Why do you think Disney had to track back to this type of Princess, after the movie 'Brave'? *
Do you think Disney continues to have the stereotypical role in the recent princess' as shown in the older princess' ? *
Do you think Disney will continue to mature and create more independent female princesses or will they continue to create princesses who rely on romantic love? *
How much of society do you think impacts on Disney films now, compared to how much it impacted on the movies over the last few decades? *
