Sleeping with the Sharks
Join us on October 20th and 21st and sleep with the sharks! We will be joining with Dare County 4-H for this fun, overnight trip to the Roanoke Aquarium. We will be leaving at 5:00 PM that Saturday night and head out to the aquarium, having dinner along the way. Once at the aquarium we will participate in several activities and enjoy the aquarium all to ourselves! We’ll sleep under the shark tank that night. We’ll leave at 8 AM following some breakfast and return to the Extension Office at 10 AM.

There will be 5 youth spots, ages 8-12, as well as room for 1-2 teen volunteers, 13-18, and we are requesting 1 adult chaperone. The registration cost for youth is $60, teen volunteer is $45 and the adult chaperone’s cost will be covered. Email ali_huber@ncsu.edu if you need assistance with the registration cost as some scholarship funds may be available.

Registration is available here. Your spot is confirmed when payment is received at the Camden County Cooperative Extension Office and 4HOnline registration is completed as well as a photo release from the NC Aquarium. Space is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. Please email, ali_huber@ncsu.edu, to be added to the waitlist as we may be able to add more youth based on interest.
