Foundation for Excellence is a nonprofit, public education foundation whose purpose is to provide financial assistance to Lubbock ISD principals and teachers for creative, innovative academic projects not supported by school and/or district budgets, as well as for Lubbock ISD student activities that relate to classroom and academic performance.
> Grant Application Deadline - 1st Monday of every month (excluding December)
> Applicants Notified - End of Each Month (excluding December)
> Priority is given to teachers and Lubbock ISD related requests.

> Awarded grant money must be spent with approved Lubbock ISD vendors. Refer to current vendor list on Procurement
Services department webpage.

> Awarded grant money may not be spent to purchase gift cards
Teacher-Principal grant applicants will be notified of the Grant Committee’s decision by email. If a grant is approved, then a check will be mailed to the campus with the recipient's name in the memo section.
> Please have the school secretary deposit the check in the 499.00.5744.FE…for current school year account
> If the grant recipient leaves the district, the items purchased with FFE funds MUST remain at that home campus including all technology items.
> ALL technology-related items must be purchased through the Lubbock ISD Technology Services department.
> Grants awarded for technology will include the notation that funding is pending while Lubbock ISD Technology Services department verifies on compatibility and the current cost for technology.
Grant request will be considered following the criteria listed below:
• Items NOT budgeted by your campus/department
• Number of students impacted
• Has the potential to improve student achievement
• Enhances instruction skills
• Creativity of the project as well as innovative approach to teaching/learning
• Potential for continuation in future school years
By completing and submitting this grant application and in consideration of the financial assistance and recognition granted to me by the Foundation for Excellence, I CERTIFY THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION.
1. I understand that INCOMPLETE teacher-principal grant applications WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED for funding.
2. I will use funds from this grant for the purposes stated herein.
3. All statements on this application are true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.
4. I am currently a certified teacher or principal with Lubbock Independent School District.
5. My school principal (for teacher applicant) OR Executive Principal (for principal applicant) has given me permission to submit the grant application.
