A prototype challenge, where entrants are given a pre-designed chassis, into which they install an engine of their own design

A fuel economy challenge, where entrants are allotted a certain amount of fuel per race only

A "road and race" challenge, where entrants design multiple trims of a road car, one being a mass-sales model and one being a racing car, both evaluated as appropriate for their intended use

A racing economics simulator, where teams are evaluated on their total profits over the racing season
