Call for Proposals

The NextGen Student Climate Summit on May 11, 2019 from 10:30-4:30 P.M. at The Watershed Institute is created by high school students for high school students to share and learn about climate change and sustainability.

We invite any high school student or team of students to send in a proposal for EITHER a 5 minute PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION, or to have a DISPLAY TABLE AT THE FAIR on any of the following categories:

1. Sustainability actions in your school
2. Sustainability actions and activism in your community
3. Impacts of Climate Change

Format:
a) If you choose PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION, participants will come to your table; you will give a short (5-10min) talk (no AV), then lead a 10 minute discussion. Prepare both talk and discussion questions.  You may repeat this twice during the time block.
b) If you choose DISPLAY TABLE AT THE FAIR, please bring display materials on your topic, be prepared to set them up and be at the table during fair times to discuss your topic.

The proposal DEADLINE IS April 12. We will notify you of acceptance decisions by April 18.

This conference is organized by the high school students of Princeton Day School, Princeton University Energy & Climate Scholars, and The Stony Brook Millstone Watershed Association
