Health Fair Registration
Paulding Exempted Village Schools is committed to our employees. We believe in wellness and health promotion. By integrating good health habits and routine wellness check-ups, serious illnesses may be avoided or detected early.

The Paulding Exempted Village School district, along with Paulding County Hospital, will be sponsoring a health fair on Thursday April 9 from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The health fair will include blood pressure check along with lab work consisting of blood sugar, liver profile, cholesterol, a complete blood count, thyroid profile and a Vitamin D level. A PSA (to check for prostate cancer) will also be available for the males. The hospital will also be offering a Hemoglobin A1c (for those already diagnosed with diabetes) at a cost of $15.  A bone density scan and the derma scan (checks for sun damage to your skin), may also be available.

The results of this screening are an important part of providing good health care. You will be given your results. It is important that you share these results with your physician.

There is no cost to PEVS employees.  PEVS employee spouses may participate at a cost of $65.00 for females and $85.00 for males (you get an additional test for prostate cancer). If you want a hemoglobin A1c, you will add $15, (ALL people wanting this test must pay, even employees). You must pre- register and you will pay on the day of the health fair. Checks should be made out to the Paulding County Hospital.

It is important to take care of ourselves so we can teach children healthy habits. A magazine article stated that doing just 4 easy things on a routine basis could add 7 ½ years to our life. The daily routines necessary for this are: 1) DO NOT abuse food; 2) DO NOT abuse alcohol; 3) DO NOT use tobacco; 4) engage in some form of exercise at least 20 minutes a day 5 times a week.

All information requested below must be submitted for the hospital to register you prior to the health fair.

If your spouse will be attending also, you must register them separately.

You should have nothing to eat or drink (except water) for 10-12 hours prior to the health fair. If necessary, you can take your morning medication with a drink of water. No times will be assigned. You must arrive between 6 A.M. and  8 AM to participate. Spouses may attend between 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m.
