Let's take a break for the Easter weekend as we hike/boat to  Paria Bay. We will be in Turtle nesting season therefore it is highly probable to observe female leather-back turtles nesting and laying their eggs. With this in mind we have tailored an event for the nature loving enthusiasts who would like to this phenomena.

This event involves:
-Taking a boat/Hiking early in the morning to Paria Bay.
-Bonfires
-Roasting Fish/Meat/Sausages/mushrooms/ marshmallows/whatever you decide to bring as well.
-Card games
-Board-games(walk with what you have)
-Beach football(Sweat)
-Fitness Training Session using your own body-weight
-Visit to the spectacular Paria Waterfall as seen below
-Visit to Turtle Rock
-Visit to Cathedral Rock
-Visit to 2 freshwater springs
plus more

Let us take a step back and stay to getaway as we experience and appreciate nature at its best.

Tentative meeting Points and times:
6am Shuttle leaves at UWI St. Augustine (South Gate- Highway side)
7am Opposite Sam's Bar, Maracas Bay.
8am Drop everything and everyone(those who will not be hiking) off at the dock for the boat to take to Paria Bay.
8:45am Park at Lagunar Mar Hotel or Marianne Beach Facility.
9:00am Assemble at the Spring Bridge(Double Bridges) in Blanchiseusse, headcount and briefing.
9:45am Hike starts
12:30pm All hikers would arrive at Paria bay by this time all equipment and persons taking the boat would have already assembled at Paria Bay.
Those camping can set up their tent and explore the bay.
Those returning to Blanchiseusse same day by boat will go straight to the waterfall.
2:30pm Leave the waterfall to catch the boat
The boat takes only 8 passengers and leaves every 30 minutes based on the amount of passengers.
Boat will leave Paria Bay
4pm Depart Blanchisseuse
5:00pm Arrive at Maracas Beach Stop for food.
6pm Reach back to UWI
These are intended times and may run off schedule due to traffic and other causes. This is only to be used as a guide for planning.

Parking is available at the Marianne Beach Facility or Laguna Mar for those who WILL be driving  to Blanchisseuse. They can charge up to $100.00 to park for the weekend if camping.  

The hike then starts at the spring bridge and continues for three hours. The hike is normally completed in 2 hours however we stop at a few of the secluded unspoilt beaches, at turtle rock, cathedral rock for rest as well as photo ops. While on the trail you will be able to enjoy the natural, clean, salty air as it fills your lungs. Stops are taken for short moments to capture the views of secret, untouched beaches. There is the option to make a detour to visit "Turtle Rock" which is a peninsula just before Paria Bay which gives one of the best views your eyes will ever see. As we contniue on the hike in an easterly direction, at the western end of the bay, you will witness the ability of erosion to transform the landscape which is evident at the "Cathedral Rock".

As you venture eastward to the waterfall trail, you would hear the sound of running water(depending on the season) from a nearby freshwater spring which provides water for cooking, bathing and washing etc. Look out for the sea turtles hatchlings as they make their way to the sea.

We will then arrive at the waterfall trail which we will hike for additional 15 minutes to the exquisite Paria Waterfall which is a gem by itself.

After you relax a bit and catch your breath, you can take a dip/swim or just relax at the water's edge.


If the adrenaline is still running through your body and your mind is excited about where you are, immerse your senses and allow the freedom of escape to suddenly take over.

If you wish to cater your own food and drinks, simply minus $300 from any of the camping packages (5-8).


Tents and sleeping bags are NOT provided.
We can source tent at $450 for a 4 person tent
Sleeping bags can be sourced them at $200 Each
If you require us to purchase these and have them ready for you. They will have to be paid for in addition to our package price no later than 18th April 2019.
You must pay for your parking separately at the Marianne Beach Facility or at Laguna Mar.

Life jackets are provided(but limited as the hike is long) for those who wish to bathe in the deep areas of the pool.

Secure everything inside your bags just in case you may happen to slip and fall in the water your belongings will not get wet.
