We are excited to receive 24 middle school students and 4 teachers from Chengdu, China.  This is a wonderful opportunity for families to experience a cultural exchange student.  The students will be at Columneetza for mornings and involved in community activities in the afternoon.  The community activities currently are:

Saturday February 3rd: Arrive 3:18 p.m. and homestay families meet the students.
Sunday February 4th: Sleigh Ride 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Leaving from Columneetza
Monday February 5th: Bowling
Tuesday February 6th: First Nations Cultural Event
Wednesday February 7th: Swimming
Thursday February 8th: Museum/Visitors Center
Friday February 9th: TBA
Friday February 9th: Dinner 5:20 - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday February 10th: Skiing at Mt. Timothy 11:40 a.m. Leave Columneetza return 4:30 p.m.
Sunday February 11th: Robotics camp at Columneetza 10:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Monday February 12th: Leave for Vancouver 4:30 p.m. homestay families drop off at airport

Homestay families will be invited to join a Chinese dinner Friday night.  Free tickets will be given to homestay families for one adult and one student.  Extra tickets can be purchased for $25.00 up until February 5th.  

Homestay families will be reimbursed $200.00 per student/teacher for out of pocket expenses.  We are hoping that families will consider taking two students so that they will be more comfortable.
