We are excited for the 2019 Hawthorn Hurricanes Swim Team!
Register online for the Summer 2019 swim season (all swimmers in the same household can use the same form)!

Minnows - Children 5 & older who cannot swim a full 25 meters unassisted. All Minnows MUST be five years old by June 1st or be registered for kindergarten in the fall. During swim meets there will be an older swimmer in the water to help each Minnow down the lane and assist him/her to the other end. During practices there will also be older swimmers in the water to work with Minnows on strokes, diving, etc. Practices are NOT held on Wednesdays. Practice time should not be considered a replacement for swim lessons. Swim lessons are recommended for all young swimmers.
Full Time Swimmer - For the swimmer who is able to swim 25 meters without stopping and has the proper form for freestyle and backstroke. Practices will be held 5 days a week. Included in this fee is a weekly 60-minute stroke clinic on Wednesdays where swimmers receive valuable small group instruction focusing on proper form and technique.
Associate Member - For teenagers 14 and older who have busy lives and other commitments. We hate to lose these valuable swimmers who can’t make it to all the practices and meets due to other obligations
*Dues include salary and gifts for the coaches for the 2019 season, in addition to other various events throughout the season (welcome breakfast, ice cream social, family fun night, donut day, year end picnic, awards, etc).
*Save the date for swimmer evaluations - Friday, June 7th at the pool. All new families and all minnows should plan on attending. If you would like your child to be evaluated for the grouping most suitable for their current level, feel free to attend the evaluation.
*Stay tuned for more information on the Parent Kick-Off meeting (late May / early June). All families are asked to attend this meeting to discuss the season, including some exciting changes for 2019!
