The Mars Generation Public Outreach Presentation Proposal for Space Camp Scholarship Application
The Mars Generation is a nonprofit organization that seeks to inspire and educate people about the importance of STEM education and human space exploration to the future of humanity. Our entire program is based on outreach and building community.

Our Space Camp Scholars have a unique opportunity to experience something most students only dream of, attending Space Camp USA and experiencing what it is like to train like an astronaut. As an opportunity that so few students get, one requirement of becoming a TMG scholar is to take what they learn at Space Camp and share it with their own communities.

Below, you will find instructions to guide you through the process of creating A PRESENTATION PROPOSAL on HOW YOU WILL SHARE YOUR SPACE CAMP experience with your community and submitting it for consideration.

If you are selected to receive a scholarship you will be required to give a presentation about your experience at Space Camp to a group of at least 20 students. You may present to a class, youth group or other community group. The presentation needs to be given to students under the age of 18. Your $150 deposit will be held until you complete this requirement after attending Space Camp.

I have read the above description of this project proposal and understand that this project is to be focused on how I will share my Space Camp experience with my community. Community can mean any public group of people that are part of my life such as a church group, school group, club, event or other type of group gathering. *
Required
I understand that this project proposal is for an outreach presentation to share my Space Camp experience with others, I understand this is not a science project or a research project. *
Required
Name of project advisor *
Email address of project advisor *
Who is your proposed audience and/or community that you want to present or construct this project for? Be specific with age group, number of people you will present to, location and anything else that shows you have clearly thought about this community. *
When are you proposing to complete this presentation?  Deadline is November 31, 2018. We suggest you do it as soon as you can after Space Camp so it is done and you get your $150 deposit returned. *
What will make this presentation unique and/or interesting for your audience/community? *
I understand that the video I submit to show that I have completed the presentation much show not only me presentation but also show the audience that is listening to my presentation. I understand that the video will need to be a landscape video (wide) not portrait (long and narrow) if a smartphone is used for filming. *
Required
I affirm that I have spoken with my presentation  advisor and discussed this proposal with them. They have agreed to oversee my presentation and assist me if needed in completion. *
Required
I understand that if selected my family will be required to pay a $150 deposit which will be returned once I complete my project and submit a video of the presentation. I understand that if I do not complete my project or if I do not make it to Space Camp for any reason, this deposit will not be refunded to my family. *
