Walkwith901: FOOTPRINTS #HowStrongIsYourWalk
The Walkwith901 program is a youth and young adult social ministry program geared towards teaching young people to be socially-conscious and culturally-astute Christian leaders. Designed to allow for introspective reflection, youth, take a heart-journey to gage the depths and strength of their own walks in Christ.  Every person walks a different path and these paths create the footprints of change.

In the spirit of MLK50, high school students from around the Diocese will come together to explore social justice issues revolving around race and class.  How have these issued affected the city of Memphis over the years and how can we move forward in a positive direction.  


Who can attend:
This retreat is available to all high school students.

What is this exactly:
This is a retreat geared towards around social justice issues in the city of Memphis.  How have they shaped our community, what issues exist today, and how can we move forward striving to make a difference in our community.

We will also be partaking in a recreation of the Dean Dimmick march to City Hall after the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr.  We will join with Memphians from all over the city, to march to City Hall along with Mayor Jim Strickland.

When and where is it:
The retreat will take place the weekend of April 6 - 8, 2018 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral.  We will begin at 5:30pm on Friday, April 6, and conclude the afternoon of Sunday, April 8,  at 12:00, immediately following the 11:00 worship service at St. Mary’s Cathedral.

How much is it and what does that cover:
The retreat costs $150 if you register on or before March 18, 2018.
You may still register after this date but the cost will be $200.
This fee covers all supplies and materials for the weekend, a small donation to St. Mary’s Cathedral to cover added cost of utilities for the weekend, a donation to Constance Abbey for the use of their showers, and all meals throughout the weekend, and a t-shirt that will also aid in provided schools in need with uniforms for their students.
