Join the Appalachian Community Fund's Out in the South: Central Appalachia Project for a second series of gatherings bringing together the LGBTQIA+ Community in Central Appalachia. Together, we will create an inter-generational space to celebrate, connect, learn, and share our stories.
The goal of the Out in the South Initiative: Central Appalachia gatherings is to continue building broader networks to support and sustain LGBTQIA+ organizations and individuals in our region. Toward achieving this goal we hosted a second Eastern Kentucky gathering in August, and plan for another gathering in addition to the West Virginia gathering.
All gatherings are free and open to the public, including a catered meal (be sure to indicate dietary restrictions and other access needs below). Each gathering will last from 12pm- 4pm.
The Gathering in West Virginia will be in Beckley on Saturday November 17th 12 pm - 4 pm at the Raleigh County Convention Center in Beckley, WV. Please request to be added to our private Facebook group by reaching out to our Project Director, Kendall Bilbrey.
