Junior Team Tennis (JTT) is offered by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and is made up of co-ed teams with short set scoring.
TEAMS ARE FORMED BASED OFF OF THE NUMBER OF KRA CHILDREN INTERESTED IN EACH LEVEL AND THE AVAILABILITY OF A PARENT TO SERVE AT "TEAM PARENT".
IF KRA DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH KIDS AT YOUR CHILD'S AGE GROUP OR LEVEL, (with your permission) WE WILL SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH THE LEAGUE COORDINATORS SO YOUR KIDS CAN PLAY WITH ANOTHER ORGANIZATION. (Very few clubs in Richmond have teams at every youth level.)
SPRING 2021
*** RED BALL- We will always offer 8U Red Ball teams. So your child's 8U Team Spot is guaranteed.
*** 10U Beginner Orange Ball
*** 10U Intermediate Orange Ball
*** 10U Green Dot Division
*** 12U-18U division teams (There are 15 divisions offered in Richmond, split up by age groups and playing level)
SEASONS: Fall- begins September 28th, and run six to 8 weeks. Spring- typically begin April 5th, and run six to 8 weeks.
8U- Matches held on SATURDAYS at Kanawha from 1-2:30 PM.
10U Matches held on SATURDAY afternoons, both home at KRA and away at your opponent's courts.
12-18U - Matches are held on SUNDAY afternoons, both home at KRA and away.

For 8U, players can be 5, 6, 7, 8 or if they are absolute beginners, 9.
For 10U, players still have to be 10 on 8/31/21
For 12U, players still have to be 12 on 8/31/21
Etc....
Age eligibility flexibility can be granted at the discretion of the league coordinators.
